New Eye Candy / Object of Desire
Am thinking about one of these for my 40th. £500 worth but it's best of both worlds - at home on trail or road, lightweight, fast, comfortable riding position. Highly nickable too I suppose but a thing of rare beauty anyway!

Very nice. Have a look at these; the 601 http://www.spacycles.co.uk/products.php?plid=m1b1s18p662 is higher spec drivetrain than the trek, and the 501 http://www.spacycles.co.uk/products.php?plid=m1b1s18p661 is very similar. I know that the 501 (my dad previously had one) will take mudguards and a rack. Not sure about the 601. The other thing is they are a fair bit cheaper, especially at the prices shown. My dad recently bought a sardar from them, and i've had a shimano/dynamo hub wheel from them.
You're right - they're a nice piece of kit too - will have to check both of em out now!!
