To Sunday 14th February 2021

Lots of walking.  Not much else to report.   Watched some films with Lucy.   Watched as much Endeavour as I could - I prefer it to Morse I have to say.   Excellent TV; Roger Allum and Shaun Evans are superb in it. 

Saturday 13th February 2021

Had a good day of repairing - fixed the CCTV (another camera given up the ghost) and fixed the GTECH hoover - the footswitch had gone.   Had a cracking walk 6 miles after a 3 mile paper walk in the morning got home in time for the Rugby by a couple of minutes can't argue with that can you!

Sunday 14th February 2021

The usual dog sleep interruptions.   Another whopping great big walk 7 miles plus and loads of intrepid exploring on paths I'd not been on.   Excellent. 

Monday 15th February 2021   - Had a good evening walk - just under 4 miles cross-country making a total of about 8 miles on a monday. 

Tuesday 16th February 2021  - up at 4.10 - pesky dog - usual 3 in the morning, 3 in the evening - absolutely drenched - Derby scraped a win over Wycombe four minutes into injury time making up for the disappointment of a poor performance by England against India. 

Wednesday 17th February 2021 - didn't get up to 5.51!  Walked, watered and fed Ruby.   Walked to Mayfield for papers on the daily 3 mile loop.  All good. 

Saturday 20th February 2021
Walked to Maryfield first thing, 3 miles in the bag. Then after brekko went on a much bigger walk

Just one walk today 6.3 miles with the big lad. Up through Darley Moor Motorcycle Track again - ace!

Weekend of Feb 27th and Feb 28th

Janette's birthday weekend.  Had Phil and Catherine over on Saturday night for takeout from the Royal Oak - very nice it was too!  Ten miles of walking of Saturday and about 8 miles on Sunday.  Washed J's car.  Very, very tired due to pooch not being the best sleeper.  Hey ho.

Made a bit of a rash decision last night and bought another kit - it's a beauty though!  Went over to me mum and dad's with some supplies first thing - saw a Jay in their garden, what a beautiful bird they are. When got back took big lad for another four mile walk.   Found 9 golf balls as came down the golf course.   Still some snow on hills in the distance. 

Still a bit of snow on the hills north of Ashbourne.

Monday 1st February 2021 

Up at 5:30,  dog nearly slept through!  Walk up to get paper and back.  Have got no damn Times vouchers,  rang em Saturday, if they don't arrive in the post today they will be getting another call at lunchtime!   Noticed how much lighter it's getting in the morning barely used head torch today - which is great in my book!

Derbyshire Ice Field

Cleaned up the snare drum the chap threw in with the kit (as well as a ton of other stuff).  I think it's a 14x5" Premier 1005 or something like - a few scratches here and there and the internal damper has been removed (but in these modern times that's not a bad thing). Anyway it cleaned up quite nice I think. 

Tuesday 2nd February 2021

Up at midnight with the hound and then 5.15am - the joys of owning a dog.  Snowed a bit in the night, very slushy and damn slippy.   Missus up in good time so papers fetched for 7.50am.    All good stuff!  Very wet evening walk but can't be helped, clocked up another 3.5 miles so 6 miles in total.  All good stuff.   Did a little bit of tuning on Tamas - not too much to get in trouble with the boss - I think I'm going to replace the batter heads which have been on them for 11 years!

Wednesday 3rd February 2021

Little dog a bit better, had to come back down within 10 minutes of going to bed but apart from that she was good until 5:50 which ain't too bad.   Missus got up early too so got 2.5 miles walked and papers fetched before 7.30!   Now back to the same old, same old!
