Monday 9th May 2016
Up early, tired still - hot night no likee.  Dog walked and back home for 6.10am.  Game of Thrones with additional tiredness.  Got to office for 8.30 after being stuck on A38   Never mind.  Global Cycle2Work day tomorrow so got Boardman out and found disk brakes had siezed so will be taking that to Halfords for a sorting.  Got Giant down and tyres pumped up and went out for a spin on that just to check it was alright - brakes are a bit wafty compare to disk brakes but it's okay in general.  Went up to lotty and did a bit.


Tuesday 10th May 2016
Global Cycle2Work day - ace.  Up at the crack.  Pooch walked, papers fetched.  Off to Belper.  Cycled in not too bad.  Good day in office then back home on the bike in the pouring rain - absolutely drenched by time got back to car but by crikey that Giant don't half go - 11 minutes quicker going back (more downhill than uphill and a slight tail wind!!).

Up early. Dog walked.  Dropped some toms and some runner beans off at me mum and dads. Work. Group - a pound off after two weeks of 2lb gains.   Dog walked, Did a bit in Greenhouse.

Up early. dog walked.  Work. Home.  A bit of moving stuff about in attic.  Did a bit on lotty - number 13 almost sorted - need to get 7 finished off double quick next?

Friday 13th May 2016
Up at 5.15.  Dog walked, papers fetched, got Lucy up at 5.15/  Dropped some toms off at Dougs. Moved some drum gear round at work ready for a band after 20 odd years break!!

Got some good stuff down the lotty - nearly there.  Got papers fetched and pooch walked.  Got back for the match - Derby whooped at home by bloody Hull.  Hmmppf   Never mind.  Had a drinkie or two and not bothered!  Really. Not bothered.  Be and the boss put a port hole on the new bass drum.

A bit more down the lotty then over to The Cross for dinner, very nice indeed   Got last lot of greenhouse peas in on number 7 and got bean row up on number 7.  Not sure whether have got enough beans but we'll see.

Was so busy I didn't do any blog updates last week at all.  Top news is that Jon Snow is alive!!
Did a few bits of lotty.  Did midweek mowing which might be the future (not sure).  Did some invites for me mum and dad which is good.   Put 2lbs on which is bad (but weighed Friday morning and I never weigh good mornings).

Went to a pub at Hulme End on Friday which was nice - saw a massive hare on way home.

Took pooch for grooming on Saturday.  Bit more Lotty on Saturday afternoon.  Got three big pavers taken up and finished off paths in number 13,

Finished off week buying some more drums


Then got a load of good stuff done down the lotty once everything had cooled down a bit.

Hell's teeth April's nearly gone.   Up early. Dog walked, papers fetched.  Watched first episode of Game of Thrones Series 6.  Off to work, in early, Busy, busy day, back home.   Tea. Dog walk.  Did a load of potting of various things.  Got little heater going in greenhouse.  Brought tomato type stuff indoors.   Vinyl has rotten finished.  Hmpphf.  Bed a bit late waiting for missus to return.

Up early.  Dog walked papers fetched.  Another trial of a day at work.  Back home for 6.15pm.  Tea. Took pooch a big walk round in the ruddy snow and rain.  What kind of weather is this?  Did a bit in the greenhouse.  Bit of telly.  Off to bed early to catch up on some Z's

Up early.  dog walked, papers fetched.  Into office for about 8am after watering stuff and what have you.   Busy, stressful day.  Back home for 6.30.   Dog walked. Tea.  Fixed coat hooks back up on wall with Phil.  Bit of this and that in the greenhouse.  Watched Vinyl - that program is putting me a bit on edge now too!!    Bed for a bit after ten pm.

Up earlier.  5.20am  Dog walked, papers fetched back home for 6.15am to wake Lucy up so she can do some Art homework.   Bit of a frost so there is.  Greenhouse then into the office for 7.45am.  Rest of the day : where to start Lucy brought home a brilliant repor,t, she is a star in some ways - but not when we're still doing homework at 12:30.  Allotment Association AGM - some great news - can take well-behaved dogs onto the allotment - if only I can get Lily well-behaved we will be in with a shout!!

Thursday 21st April 2016
In that London.  Up at 3:45.  Dog walked, showered, at Derby Station and on the 5.19 train to that London.   Seminar at 9am.

How odd is this bit of architecture in the middle of offices all over the shop.

  On train back at 2:30, home for a bit after 5pm.  Bit of a nightmare on the train as it had two trainloads of people following some poor soul throwing themselves under the East Coast Line's train so we had a ton of Geordies along for the ride - bedlam.  Tea then dog walk, Down to lotty, barrowed up some more wood chippings for paths on number 13.   Cleared out another bed ready for Autumn Caulis going in.   Banged a load of lime down ready.

Still knackered but woke without alarm at 5:30 (Jack Reacher'esque).  Dog walked, papers fetched, caulis outside hardening before going in tonight.  Went down lotty after work and got some cauliflowers in.

Saturday 23rd April 2016
Up early.  Papers fetched, dog walked.  7.50am off to that Wales for a weekend in Llandudno.  Got there and parked up by 10.40 - £4.50 for 4 hours!   Never mind.  Walked to the end of the pier - saw a dogfish reeled in, then went round the shops then to the Palladium for lunch.

Went and had a look at the hotel.  Then went to have a look at the Great Orme.  Fantastic views up there and the missus enjoyed climbing up from the car park to the cafe and what have you at the top.   Had a coffee, boss had an ice cream then back to town.  Parked in the side street near the hotel and got checked in.  Out again for tea - very nice.   Bed about 10pm - very tired.

Sunday 24th April 2016
Up early - no dog to walk.  Bit of a walk on the prom.  Then brekoo.  Then packing up ready to check out.  Then more shopping.  Then a bit of drive along the coast saw the Little Orme, then Penrhyn Bay,  Then another little town that I'll have to work out where it is!   Set off back proper and on way home stopped off at Cheshire Oaks designer outlet at Ellesmere Port for more retail therapy for the missus.   Talk about busy!   Back home about 4pm ish,  Dog pleased to see us - two dog walks before going out for tea at Okeover Arms.  Cracking.  Bed Early - Game of Thrones Series 6 coming!

Up at 5.20.  Had to get Lucy up for a shower at 5.30 so did some stuff before taking pooch a walk - had a shower, cleaned teeth. Dog walked, papers fetched and back by 6.15 so had a quick shower then woke everyone up as you do...    Into the office before 8am.   Loads on.  What a day, back home for 6.15.   Tea then out with the dog.   Back home did a bit in the greenhouse - planted some runner beans not tried Crusader before will see how they get on.  Potted some Aldi Summer cauli's we got for a shiny poond.   Then inside for telly night while missus and Lucy were out.  Watched Houdini and Doyle which is most enjoyable telly lite of the litest order.  Then watched another episode of Vinyl which you can see disaster just floating along like an iceberg ready to inflict damage on a massive scale!!

Up at 5.20 again - funny how quickly you adapt to British Summer Time (not that you'd think it were Summer).  Had to go early again as Lucy wanted to get up at 6.15 to catch up on homework - bless her.   Took bosskat and Lucy to Nottingham Arena for 5 Seconds of Summer or somesuch Australian Tat.   Back home for midnight.

Up dead early.  Dog walked, papers fetched.  Into the office before 8am. Funny day at the office but got some things sorted out which I think is good.  Lost 1.5lb at group somehow.  Back home for about 5:30.  Dog walked.  Did some potting up in the greenhouse.  Tried to sort the washing machine out but there's something up with it for sure.   Bed about 10pm.

Up at 5:30.   Still got a mega sore throat.   Short dog walk due to it chucking it down with rain.  Got papers, got home, watered stuff then off to work.  In before 8am as usual.  Busy as flip all day.  Got home 6.15ish.  Top tea then out with the dog.  Then did a bit of greenhouse, then off to Aldi with the boss, then another dog walk.  Then first episode of the Tunnel: sabotage - every bit as dark as the last series.  Bed a bit late after a drop of Bourbon.  Slept better though

Woah overlaid until 6am.  Quick dog walk, papers, brekko, dropped some shoes into the recycling bins at Sainsbobs on the way to work. Got car juiced up.  Into the office a few minutes after 8am for a change.  Busy stressful day again.  Down to supplier and home for a bit after 5pm.

Busy day of dog walking, greenhouse and allotmenteering.   Got  everything mowed round the plot - the old petrol lawnmower in me shed started marvellously with a bit of encouragement, Enough charge in the strimmer to go round both plots too - so all good stuff - did a bit of weeding on number 7 as well.     Derby won so that was good news too.

Up early.  Dog walked.  Did another two sessions down at the allotment.  Got peas in, got some broad beans in so a not bad start.  Got another bed sorted out.  Got some of the paths between the beds done too.    Have managed to watch all of the Tunnel: Sabotage in the space of a week - excellent TV.

Up at 5:29!   Dog walked, very mild, very damp. Got papers and got into work nice and early.  Back home about 6pm.  Tea.  Dog walk.  Fitted a new loo seat - why is it that one of the nuts always comes off easy and the other won't budge - can an old loo seat conspire to lull you into a false sense of security???   I don't know.  Watched two episodes of the Tunnel which is a right wierd bit of telly.  Bed late.

Tuesday 5th April 2016
Didn't get up until 5.45am so a little bit behind so far.  Nice dry, mild day that'll do for me.   Took pooch a walk, got papers, got into the office for just gone 8am.   Busy day, home for about 6pm.  Tea then walked pooch up to Sprinkshill Wood and back.  Bluebells not out yet.  Back home did a bit in the greenhouse - got some butternut squash and pumpkins planted and some assorted sunflowers to go with the half a dozen that are already ticking along quite nicely.

Watched another episode of the Tunnel and Stewart Lees Comedy Vehicle which was his worst of the series but still funny in places.   Bed a bit after 10pm

Up at 5.45. Drizzley - I thought a frost was expected so had heater on in greenhouse and it wasn't needed.  Such is life.  Dog walked, papers fetched, all good stuff.  In the office for 7.50am.  V Busy day.  Got out of the office about 5:30, nipped to group, half a pound off which after going out twice at the weekend isn't a bad result - digging on Sunday must have helped.  2 more episodes of The Tunnel - really whacko telly - very compelling,  not known anything like it for putting the viewer on edge.  Bed before 10pm

Over slept.  Didn't get up until 6.11am.  Shorter dog walk, into the office before 8am.   Cripes.   Busy day, meeting with the top brass!   Back home a bit late, tea, dog walk, did a bit in the greenhouse all good stuff.

Friday 8th April 2016.
Up early, dog walked, papers fetched, into office before 8am.  Came out a bit early so pooch could get a decent walk before we went to the Ketch for me mum's do.  Mixed grill - marvellous.   Back home, nipped to Aldi for some firewater got some caulis, chillis and tomato plants that had been reduced to a pound a go.  Not sure how many of the tomato plants will survive - we'll see.

Up early.  Pooch walked.  Messed about in greeenhouse.  Took some tat to the recycling centre.  Watched a bit of golf.   Lots of dog walks but didn't get a great deal else done?   Rained in the afternoon.

Sunday 10th April 2016
Woke up to a frost, bugger.   Put heater on in greenhouse, took pooch a walk.  Went to lotty for two sessions, more digging done getting beds ready for stuff and what have you.  Got some more spuds in.   Got home about 5pm.  Tea then another dog walk then settled down for the Masters, went to bed with Spieth looking like he was nailed on to win, woke up and found out Danny Willett had won - that'll be another thing the Yorkshire mob will be droning on about seeing as he comes from Sheff.  Well done though young man - put the ball in the right places and had a cracking last round.

Up early.  Raining cats and dogs.   Took pooch a mini walk as she does not like the rain.  Got the papers, got home, shower, shave off to work.   In the office for 7.52 not bad with clocks going forward yesterday.  Good day in the office.

Back home for 5:30pm   Tea then out with the pooch who went on to roll in fox muck, bless her.

Got missus' sweet peas planted after soaking 'em for a day.   Watched the usual Monday night telly while the boss was out - Houdini and Doyle, Vinyl (great episode), Blind Spot - top stuff!

Up at 5.45am - taking a bit of getting used to this British Summer Time.  Car scraped. Dog walked, papers fetched into the office a few minutes before 8am.  busy day again.  Home for about 6pm/.  Tea.  Dog walked. Tinker in Greenhouse - potted the cauliflowers to get them going a bit more.  Two episodes of Thrones - very good.

Up at 5.36, car scraped for second day in a row, papers fetched, dog walked, in the office for 7.50am.  All good stuff.  Lost 4lbs at group - so at least one thing good came out of being really poorly at the weekend!   Back home for 6pm.  Tea then walked the dog up the golf course again.   She loves it up there - unfortunately she now knows what rabbits are so will need to be super careful from now on.

Up early.  Chucking it down.  Small Dog small walked.   Did a ton in the greenhouse.  Lots of Dog walks - saw John and Doug on the golf course - had a quick word.   Chippy tea then wedding do in the evening - good stuff.

Up early, dog walk.   Gave Phil a lift to fetch his car.  Another dog walk.  Aldi with the missus.  Allotment for five/six hours mainly digging manure in and weeding - legs knackered.    Got two rows of spuds in and got this year's strawberry runners into the next metre squared bed,

Tea, then dog walk with Lucy.  Very, very tired. Starting watching Series one of The Tunnel with Stanis Baratheon playing a detective.  Dead good it is too.

Up at 5.25.  Dog walked, papers fetched into the office for 7.40am.  Dropped a load of stuff off at a supplier on way home.  Back home for a bit after 5pm so that was nice.  Washed car.  Took Dog a walk.  Fixed a bit of the fence.  Tea. Coffee.   Watched Vinyl which just keeps on getting wierder.  Watched Mad Max: Fury Road which I really enjoyed but Phil thought was very average. Bed for 10.30.   Bit late for me.

Tuesday 22nd March 2016
Up a 5.30 again!    Dog walkied, papers fetched, into the office for 7.45am. Ton of good work done.  Back home about 6pm.   Put the parrafin heater on in the greenhouse - don't think it was needed really but won't hurt.  Super duper Tea.  Took Lucy to get a fitbit watch which she's saved up half for.  Watched a Thrones and bed about 9.30 - absolutely knackered tonight.

Up at 5.15!   Got to get Lucy up at 6.15 so she can do more homework so walking the dog at 5.20.  Papers fetched and back for 6.15.  Watered stuff in the greenhouse.   Into the office for 7.40am.  Group after work - cocked it up and put half a pound on.  It's been coming have lost me mojo a bit need to get back on the straight and narrow.   Two more thrones tonight we're rapidly running out of them - good job series 6 is on it's way.

Up at 5.45,  Got Lucy up at 6pm then off to get papers with t'dog.  Into the office for 7.40am.

Friday 25th March 2016
Up early, papers fetched, pooch walked.  Off to Col and Karen's to get some horse manure.  Got back to lotty for about 12 noon - 4 hours later finished barrowing the much to the two plots - our neighbouring plot-holders are also well pleased!

Saturday 26th March 2016
Woke up with lurgy, took dog walk and threw up on the way.  Went back to bed, stayed there until 1:30pm.   Dodgy tummy and nausea what a great time to get it.   At least weather was pretty rubbish.
Had a slice of bread to eat all day.

Sunday 27th March 2016
Up earlyish.  Took Pooch a walk along the line.  Still feeling awful.   Didn't eat anything until tea time.  I cut another three three foot sections of gutter up and got some more peas going.  

 Mum and dad came for dinner and I had nowt.  Dad suggested brandy and ginger and it worked a treat.   Took el pooch a walk up the golf course.   She loves it up there.

Went to bed about 9:30, slept pretty well through, no further squitters.  All good.

Up easrly.  Dog walked, papers fetched, work, home top tea, more walks, did a bit in greenhouse - have got a better bit of insulation on the door now but have also got a cunning plan to make it even better in due course!!  Watched two episodes of Game of Thrones for first time in about a year and it was grand.

Wednesday 16th March 2016
Up early and out with the dog.  Papers fetched back.  Work for 7.40am, first in that's the way to do it.  Group after work - managed a maintain - happy with that all things considered.  Walked the pooch along the line in daylight which made for a nice change.   Got some Coco Coir soil stuff to try - apparently it's very good in a hydroponic way - will see about that.

Watched another GoT - very good can't work out why we stopped watching it.   Season 4 finale tomorrow night.   Bed early at 9:30

Thursday 17th March 2016
Up at 5:30.  Scraped car, walked dog, got papers on second \attempt as van hadn't arrived when we got there.   Into office for 7.40am.  Back home for 6pm.  Tea, then took dog a walk with the missus down the line.  Did a bit in the greenhouse getting all the strawberry plants into one tray so they can go down the lotty in due course.  Watched final episode of series four of Games of Throne, the hound is a goner it would seem as is Charles Dances character, and Tyrion is away.   Great stuff.

Up early.  Dog walked, papers fetched.  Down the lotty for 8am.   Took strawberry runners and the seed potatoes down.  Got the big raised bed thing cleared out so it can have a load of manure in it soon. Got a load of tidying up done and a bit of digging.   Took el Pooch for grooming in the afternoon to Beth.   Got two lots runner beans going in the greenhouse, tidied

Up early!!  Dog walked, down the lotty and another three hours number seven is coming on nicely now.  Back home, brunch and then did a bit more in the greenhouse. Planted some marigolds and some lavender for the bees.   Potted a load of little beetroots that I'll put out next weekend if I can.

Took pooch a walk up Bradley Wood with el Pooch, the boss and Lucy then a bit of lawn mowing and then over to me mum and dads for tea which were grand!

Up early.  Dog walked  (getting lighter).  Papers Fetched.  Office for 8am.  Delivery to special project.   Back home 5.15!  Dog walk in the light.   Loads of telly - X Files,  Stewart Lee Comedy Product, Vinyl - all good stuff.   Bed a bit later but never mind.

Up early.  Woke Lucy up at 6 to do some homework.  Dog walk, papers fetched.   Put antifreeze and what have you in missus car.   Work for 7.50 everything on rails.   Watered the propagator and the greenhouse - nearly ended up in a heap tripping over the bit of wood I've put down for the partition

Up really early.  Chucking it down with rain - very short dog walk but all business done so everyone's happy.   Into the office for 7.40 even filling up the car with petrol.   Group after work - 3lbs gone well into the 16st mullarkey now.   On track.

Friday 11th March 2016
Up at 5.45am.   Dog walked papers fetched.   Off to work.  Stopped at McD's for first time in three months - they stopped doing the McD Big Breakfast - no wonder I've not been in for three months.  Went to that Wales at Lunch Time - only took three and a bit hours to get there which was nice!  Went and dug a bit of bait.

 Had a bit of tea then went over to fish Cemlyn - a whiting fest but I managed to catch a pouting and a dogfish to lead our Andrew 3-1 in the Species race!!  High tide was about midnight - South/south westerly wind - Cemlyn flat calm - probably needs a northeasterly to do any good there.

Back home about 1am, bed very late in deed up again about 8am

Saturday 12th March 2016
Up earlyish all things considered.  Bit of a walk.  Bit of breakfast off to Holyhead.  Walked a mile onto the breakwater.  fished pegs 12 and 14 and caught absolutely nowt.

 Waste of time but at least we give it a go.     Had a walk to the point and back.

Back home rugby - England just scraped by but who cares.   Tea about 8pm after I'd had a bit of a kip!!!   Fishing down on the beach from about 11pm!!!   Andrew got a dogfish on cast one so he's only one behind on species count.  After that it seemed to be one rockling after an all.
This one was the smallest and on the very last cast which was well after 1am.

Up early to go and recover a rig our Andrew lost.   Felt quite warm.

Cleaned up and then got off home just before 9am and back home just before noon with two stops!!
