Up early (5.30ish), dog walked, papers fetched, into the office before 8am and the 8am starter.  All good stuff

Still can't get to grips with Rainbow/Dio bass player Jimmy Bain dying the day after a gig.  How rotten sad.  Rest in peace Jimmy Stewart Bain  will be listening to some Dio and Rainbow and remembering the Legacy.

DCFC on the telly tonight, going to finish bloody tax return in next couple of days and get that sent off.    In April 2016 I am going to make a point of getting all the bloody documents together so next January isn't quite as much of a pain in the ass.

Did a job making Sage Line 50 multi-user over two PCs and it's worked a treat in the end - took a fair bit of time to get all the pieces done,   Such is life.     Derby throwing promotion hopes away losing 4-1 to Burnley - Keogh gifts them two goals and Shackell the other two - bloody marvellous.

Up early, Lucy woken up so she could do homework at 6am.  Dog walked, papers fetched.  Into office for 7.45 ahead of the early starter, early leavers.  An intriguing day with a lot of stuff done.  Back home for 6.15.   Tea, dog walk.  Finish off the bloody tax return and submitted it!!  Magic.
More dog walks and caught up with bones so pleased about that.

Wednesday 27th January 2016
Up early.  Woke Phil up as he's off to Leeds for something or other.  Dog walked, papers fetched into the office for 7.50.  All good stuff so far.   Still gutted about Jimmy Bain - how can you be playing a gig one minute and then passed on the next.  So sad.

Lost 2lb at group so 8lbs gone so far.  Not as much as I'd hoped for but it is progress of sorts.   Glad that damn tax return has gone in.   Pain in the ass.

Up early.  Dog walked, papers fetched.  Into the office for 7/.50.  Full on day of analysis and reporting.   Back home for 6.15.   Bit of Sage work for Phil's godparents and then not much but dog walking and telly.   Have I mentioned no alcohol for fifteen days now?  Yes I have.

Overslept!  Woke up at 4.15 and 5:20 but the last mini-snooze ran into 6.10am   Got Lucy and Phil up.  Dog walked, 2/3rds of papers fetched as Derby Telegraph not in but never mind.  Into the office for a little after 7.45.  Renewed Sky Movies using Now TV voucher I saw on Hotukdeasl cost £7 for 2 months so not bad.  Phil watched Paul Blart - Mall Cop2 on it.

Saturday 30th January 2016
Didn't get up until 7:30. Bit tired.  Dog walk, papers fetched.  Heard loads of geese about and took a picture of some of them in the field next to the church - think that's a sign of approaching spring-ness!

  Piccy B for me and Phil (that's not on the diet).   Down the lotty for an hour and a half or so.  Did some tidying up, bit of weeding, took a load of tat down to the recycling centre.   Brought up three bags of compost that the chap at the bottom said we could have.

Garlic coming up nicely.

Shame on me - I can't remember what we put in here!!

 Quite pleased.   Golf at 12:30 - drew with John so no pound exchanged.

Nice to see fairways cut for first time in a while

Phil off to Derby so was expecting to be fetching him from bus station in the early hours.  Stayed up until 1pm only to find he was having a taxi - swine.   Watched Close Encounters of the Third Kind - collectors edition - which is well wierd compared to the one we're used to seeing - much more back story re. the little kid that the aliens take away.   Bed at 1.15am

Last day of January already - proper tired. So didn't get up until almost 8am.  Dog walked as she was crossing her legs.   Didn't do a whole lot else as weather was diabolical.  Mum and Dad coming so cleared the front room, went to Aldi with the boss to get bits and bobs.  Then to Poundland to get some paper so Lucy could finish off her Art project work.  All good stuff.  Ma and Pa came about 1.45 - lunch was very nice, had a small glass of red which was very nice too.

Bed about 10pm - funny day with not much in it after Saturday being rather ace in terms of getting stuff doe.

Up really early.  Dog walked, papers fetched into work for 7.45.  Porridge for brek at about 10am. Left work at 2:30 for Lucy's parent's evening which was very good.  Very pleased. Tea and many dog walks, a bit of Stella and a bit of Bones on the telly,   No alceehol for 6 days now.

Up at 5:45.  Dog walked, papers fetched, into the office for 7.50 - thought I'd crawl up the A38 rather than come off at the exit before normal - think I'm going to start coming off early all the time as there always seems to be a bit of a queue these days even though it's a couple of miles still to the M1.

Fantasy Football Team - had to ring the changes a wee bit: Ozil out, Deeney out and swapped defence around a bit due to injuries.

Up early.  Dog walked, papers fetched.  Work before 8am.  Porridge about 10:30am.   Up town at lunch - popped into Nationwide to get a bit more info for tax return - nearly there now.   Cancelled NOW TV so that won't get charged £10 a month for movies - have got another voucher that needs using before end of March so need to get that done tomorrow.  

Bosskat sent me a pic of lil dog in the sun, just like Pip bless her.    First week weigh-in tonight hopefully a few pounds lighter.

Phil off on a jolly today so he was up early so got up at 5:30.  Lil dog got a longer walk as a consequence so that's good.  Lost 6lbs at first week back at group so that's a start.  No alceehol for 8 days now I think.   Into the office before 8am all good so far.

Up early dog walked, papers fetched,  Off to Belper at 8:30 for dog grooming.  

Brekkie at Morrisons - bacon and sausage sambo, scrambled egg and a hash brown, lovely.  Back home more dog walks.  18 holes of golf at lunchtime - nice and steady and good enough to take the pound - birdie on the 6th, lost ball on 15 was only thing that marred a steady sort of a round - very muddy!  Home and no chippy tea for me, Lucy or boss kat - we on plan!  No alceehol again - am back in a groove of sorts.

Up early dog walked.  Off to do a Sage Line 50 job in the morning which went pretty well apart from Sage not being available to get the software upgrade we needed.   Such is life.  Bit of tinkering in the greenhouse.  Dog walk up the golf course - found four balls so that's handy.  Lily found a stick so she was happy!

Bit of shopping with the boss - went to Waitrose for first time - by crikey they know how to charge for stuff!   On saying that, had a very nice complimentary coffee so not all bad!

Woke up dead early but didn't get out of bed until 5:50am.  Woke Phil up then went to fetch papers and take poocher a small walk up town. David Bowie dies - thought he was immortal - massive shock just a couple of days after releasing an album

Proper tired but such is life - keep buggering on - as Mr Churchill would say.   Into office for just after 8am - got snagged up on last bit of traffic on A38, such is life.  Took stock replenishment to company we are doing some work with.   Consequently got home a bit earlier than usual which was nice.  Tea.  Dog walk.  Overdose of Stella (not Artois but the Welsh sitcom thang on Sky).   All good stuff but well late for bed in the end!!

Up at crack of dawn.  Chucking it down with rain and no sign of it stopping.  Took pooch round the block twice but couldn';t get her to do her business bless her,  Never mind.  Into the office for 8.10am.  Not a bad day at work, plenty done.  Back home dog walking and finishing off the booze as am going back to group tomorrow.  About bloody time.   Visited pound shop got some seeds and stuff.  Have got plenty ready.  Am going to need to get some spuds chitting soon.

Woke at 5am,didn't get out of bed until 6am.  Dog walk in drizzle, got papers back home, into work for just gone 8am.  Pooch update - she did her business big-style so panic over!!!

Traffic bloody awful for last couple of miles near M1 and had made me fractionally later than I'd like for the last couple of days.

Had a load of grief with HMRC website last night - what a bloody pain that is.  Hopefully get that fixed soon.  Update - got into it at last.   Am mighty impressed with the pure guile and cunning the HMRC is employing in getting tax dodgers:

Back to group after many weeks away.  Very silly boy.  First night in a while with zero alcohol and zero anything else that's bad for me.  Took poocher a couple of walks in the rain.  Watched a bit of telly.  Did a bit more tax return.  Got to bed for 10pm.

Phil driving gritter today so up at the 4:30 make sure he buggered off to work. Back to bed, didn;t wake up until 6:20 so only just managed to get up town, take dog walk, fetch papers and back for 7am to get Lucy and bosskat up.  Never mind, into the office for 8am.  Porridge for brekky about 9:30am - all good stuff.  Back home in okay sort of time.  Tea. Up at 7:00am!!  Good stuff.  Small piccy b brekko..  Golf at 12.27.  Steady nine holes 15 points a bit better than John's 13 ha ha,  Coffee for two at the 10th/19th depending on how you looks at it.

Aldi for some shopping about 2pm then another walk for el poocher up the golf course - didn't let her off lead as someone shooting a shotgun over towards Wyaston and she don't like that.   On way back saw a fox do the nosedive thing that they do.  Wish I'd had a decent camera with me but such is life - I love foxes - I know they make a mess of hen houses and all that bit that's their nature

Into the office early to get drums cased up and off the premises.  Bugger, not a single drum fits the damned cases.  Will have to see if I can used them for the Premiers or perhaps sell them on.  Bloody typical.  Got away early as took a load of stock to the order fulfilment people we're trying out.   Back home for a bit after 5 so all good stuff.   Got Xmas boxes down so decs can go back up the attic - got four of the five new drums in cardboard boxes up into the attic. Bed for 10.44 - watched a bit more Hootenanny.

Up early.  Dog walked, into the office a bit after 8am.  good day in the office, had to do another trip over to Heanor but not a problem.  Back home Dog Walk.  Got Xmas stuff upstairs ready to go up in the attic,  Tea, then up the attic.   Then did a couple of web jobs, went and took dog out about 9:30/10:00pm and there was an almighty peel of thunder went on for ages.    Bed about 10:15 but absolutely knackered again.

Up early.  Dog walked, papers fetched.  Off to office nice and early but a crash near Kirk Langley made things rather drawn out I must admit.  Good day in the office got a ton of good stuff done..  Back home for about 6pm all good stuff.   Nice clear night, dog walks in the dry for a change.

First work week of 2016 almost done and I overslept - 6.10am before got out of bed - very poor show.  To make it worse, I had to scrape the car as well.

Dog walked, papers fetched.  Into the office for 8.15, went around another crash at Shirley Hollow some poor gal been rear-ended by someone, car in the middle of the road.  Into office for 8.15 again - not too shabby really.

Never mind, another full on busy day in the office.  Back home for 6:30, not much else to report!!

Didn't get up til 7pm - deffo more tired than usual.  Such is life.  Took some tat to the recycling.  Fetched piccy B for the family. Golf at 12.30 - steady stuff - three pars in first six holes but driving was a bit all over the place it has to be said!!  Never mind.

Up at 7:30am - geting worse.  Got up, dog walked, checked lottery number still nowt! Such is life.  Big walk up to Sprinkshill wood and back.

Tidied up the back yard a bit so can get the tumbler composter going.   Need to see if the garden shredder Phil got me will chew cardboard and spit it out so I can add that the the compost heapes.   Trip to tip with some of the rubbish too.

Bit of telly then over to me mum and dad's for tea.  Took poocher two walks up Whitworth Road as well.  Bed for about 9.45pm proper tired, heating on day as well.

Cripes, at the end of this week I'll be a year older and we'll be in 2016!!   Anyway, up early as always. Two big dog walks, watched a lot of test cricket,  Got nearly a dozen golf balls in two walks up the golf course - let poocher have a run round off the lead as well which was nice!

Up really early - a funny night's sleep.  Into work before 8am.  Car playing up a bit so hopefully will get it swapped out today.   Not a bad day back at the grindstone,  home for a bit after 6pm.  Tea, quick dog walk then over to John's to do an internet job.  Took the boss of the world with me for a chinwag with Mo.  All good stuff. Bed not long after 10pm

Up at 5.50, dog walked, papers fetched.   Into office before 8am - sent in a complaint to Radio4's today program about use of the word "Oftentimes" why on earth do you need an Americanism that is longer than an English word that does the same job i.e. "Often".  Bloody eejits. Got first part of  a project done and dusted - pleased it was done in time for January!   Home for 5:30.  Watched test match highlights, bed about 10pm

Up early.  Dog walked, papers fetched.  Into office just after 8am.  Moved all the gear from old building to new building.  Any help, no, any thanks no.   Younger generation is all I can say.  Never mind.  Got reports done.  Did some more work on a new project.  Practice at 5pm.  On way to Havant at 6pm, drum kit collected and back on road to Derbyshire by 10:30pm.  In bed 2.15am.  Bloody mad.

Got through the meal and banding began....   Jingle Bell Rock, Christmas Wrapping, Happy, Crazy little thing , I believe in a thing called love then an encore of Slade's Merry Xmas everybody.  Job done.  Home for a bit after 5pm.  Begin winding down.

Hell's teeth, how can it be Christmas Eve already???  Into the office for a bit after 7am.  A ton of reporting done then had to clear all band stuff out of way in the conference suite - god knows why but as I said to young Mr Hall sometimes the path of least resistance is just to do the bloody job.  Got home for 4pm, last minute shopping then up in the attic to get the the hot tray thing down for tomorrow's veg.  Then clearing the table, then wrapping presents.  Then waiting for Philps who was out celebrating and came back very late, rather drunk at 11.25pm.   Bed about 12.30 after watching the "Doomed, the story of Dad's Army TV" on catch-up.

Up at 5.45.  Dog walked, Missus got stuff in the oven for Xmas.  Watched some tat on telly. Xmas Dinner with Ma and Pa and Pad  from up t'street.  All went well, everyone did eat and drink and make merry so good, that's done and dusted now.

Got up a 5.55am - ruddy lie-in.  Dog walked, papers fetched.  Into office before 8am.  Not too shabby.   Updated fantasy football team - have brought in Cabaye for Mata - if he doesn't do well I will bring Kante in from Leicester next week.  Have put the guy from Newcastle in as captain and made Lukaku Vice captain. Also brought De Gea in as they're playing Norwich whereas Arsenal have got Man City.

After work - a bit of a rehearsal, new bass player Chris - very good, a lot  of potential.   Banged through a song with new singer Emma, brought Jamie Fowkes in and he knocked his two songs off no problem.   Three songs absolutely bang on.  One very iffy, one needs a bit of work but will be okay.

Up late again at 5:55am.   Dentists today, bloody hate going to dentists.  Never mind, got to be done.
Into office a bit after 8am.  durvived the Dentists but have an appointment for 2 fillings in January now.  Marvellous.  Watched a bit of "As good as it gets" with Lucy (it's a 15 she's a 15 so it's okay - no mega bad language no sauce in it either).   Stopped it before the bit where Jack Nicholson cocks it up in the restaurant near the end but will watch the end Thursday night.

Up early.  Dog walked.  Missus off out at lunch time so took Phil and Lucy to the Cross very nice.  Drink or two in the afternoon as you do (Xmas or not).  Bid on a drum kit at the eleventh hour and got it for a song.  One slight problem - it's the other side of  Portsmouth.  Bugger.

Up at the crack.  Dog walked - drizzly tat weather.  Papers fetched into office nice and early.  Practice at 5pm for an hour going well.  Back home for about 7:30 after driving around traffic due to a prang on A3 southbound.  Phil only just got back before me.  He's getting tractors stuck carting sludge at JCB apparently.

 Watched a bit of trollied and last week's episode of After Hours - am in catchup mode right now.

Dog walk.  Watched American Sniper on the Now TV movies box - deffo getting money's worth from it.   Almost forgot - new mattress arrived so old one gone in missus' car for recycling centre tomorrow and new one install - cracking night's sleep!  This week's FF team been updated:

Have borught in Alderweireld for Coleman who hasn't been bringing enough points in.  Am currently sitting at 5th position in the Office league so am doing a triple captain on Lukaku this week as they're playing lowly Norwich - might be a mistake but with Leicester playing Chelsea you normally wouldn't expect him to put a whole load of goals in (watch me be proved wrong though).

Phil broke his phone yesterday, dropped it like an eejit and now you can't control it, you also can't switch off the pigging alarm in it either which set off from about 5am.  Pain in the butt.   Anyway up at 5.40am, Car scraped, dog walked, papers fetched, into the office for about 7.50am.

Up early. Dog walked, papers fetched.  work nice and early. Meeting at 10am.  Finishing off reports. Left office a bit early as taking Missus to see Fish at Sheffield City Hall - cracking night.  Support band Lazuli had the best drum sound I've ever heard, ever.  Fish was great - came on and I felt he struggled with first song and it was going to be a disaster but ended up being an absolute triumph - loved it.

Not from Sheffield as the Camera Police were in force but Mr Fish none-the-less!

Up at 5:45am after getting home at 11.45 - remember Sheffield City Hall is only 1hr 10m away tops if you know where you're going.   Took poocher out, fetched papers into work for 7.50am.  The departments weekend top games predictions are now in too:-

Up early, dog walked, papers fetched. Took pooch for pampering at Beth Croft's dog grooming.   Me and missus went down to Morrisons for brekkie and shopping, save a sausage and some bacon for the pooch as she does not like baths, she does not like them.  

Back home for about 11 after picking up a Sausage and Mushroom baguette for Lucy.   Nothing really done all day due to crap weather watched a movie or two but that's about it.

Up at 7.30 after going to bed at 9pm - a full-on 10.5 hours of sleep.  Grand.  Dog walked.  Down lotty for some brussels, bumped into someone and got 6 free bags of compost when we're ready - result.  Aldi after that to get some wine for me dad.   All good then over to Mum and Dad's for tea - stopped over at Uncle Peter's memorial on way and put a winter wreath thing on.  Nice tea, dead tired when I got home so bed early again after taking pooch out.

Hell's teeth, last day of November already.  Woke up at 4am again, didn't get up until 5.40.  Dog walked and papers fetched in the rain.  Into the office before 8am.  Fantasy football team did pretty well last week but have got an injury to one of me subs so made a change or two (I am the tinker man - Cech in for De Gea, Ayew in for Payet, Ayew straight into the team in a 3-4-3 formation - what can possibly go wrong!

Well rehearsal didn't happen waited til gone 6.30 and room still not available so buggered off home.  Not good.

Up early.  Dog walked, papers fetched. Into office early. Shifted all the music gear. Busy day. Left a bit early.  Took missus and daughter to see Dynamo at Nottingham, parked at Bardhills and went in on tram (Toton Lane) all good fun but got home a bit late.

Friday 4th December 2015
Up early, the usual.  At Doctors at 7am, appointment for 8am.   Got to work a bit late.  Ton of stuff done, office  for about 9:30.   Lots done, brief rehearsal after work.  Back for 6.30, quick dog walk then off to The Shoulder at Osmaston for Aztecs Pub Quiz which we won, yay!

Saturday 5th December 2015
Up early.  Dog walked, papers fetched.  Golf in a 40 mph wind at lunch time. Final Big Lix gig at in thevening - massive PA system - ears ringing like hell!   Got away about 12.45 top job and a great send-off.   Sold out weeks ago.

Up at 7:30;  Dog walked.  Match of the day.Lunch at The Cross.  Bit of telly.  Walked pooch up Golf course got three good balls, hee hee.  More Telly.  Bed early.

Monday 23rd November 2015
Woke up mighty early at about 4am'ish. Didn't get up to 5.40 though, stupid to get up any earlier as papers wouldn't be in.  Got up.  Scraped the motor (yet another reason to hate this time of year).  Took dog a walk and fetched papers.  Into the office for 7.55am.  Rehearsal tonight so not sure why made such an effort but such is life.  Good rehearsal we plotted a song out in it's entirety and got it pretty much nailed sans vocals.  Back home for about 7.40.  Couple of mini dog walks in the rain - gone very mild considering it started off with scraping the car.   Got NOW TV working on the YouView box which is better than I remembered it being.   So started watching Guardians of the Galaxy which I decided was so good I'd make Lucy watch it too but as she'd got homework we didn't watch the whole dang thing - save a bit for tomorrow.    Updated Fantasy Football team had two players suspended and two free transfers to use so brought in Lukaku from Everton and Ighalo from Watford - had been toying with the idea of Lukaku for ages - he'll probably stop scoring now.

Up at 5.45.   Couldn't find me darned glasses - dog walked, papers fetched,   At Tesco's for 7.40am as we have a leaving fuddle at work.  Some crafty parking going on at Tescos's:

Into office for 7.50, computer took a week to start up.  Such is life, doctor's appointment later. Doctors went okay - blood pressure up a bit - lose weight. Okay.  X-ray booked for next Tuesday to have me knee looked at - in fairness it will probably come down to same thing - lose weight.

Watched end of Guardians of the Galaxy with Lucy - ace film - very enjoyable.


Wednesday 25th November 2015 
Up really early.  Dog walked, papers fetched and back home for 6.25.   Into office for 7.45am.  On fire.  Disappointed with meself a bit.  Should have gone to a leaving do and didn't with no really good reasons - am getting to be a humbug.   As rehearsal was cancelled (part of my grumpiness) and the rehearsal for Friday also cancelled I h\ave re-arranged my X-Ray appointment for Friday at 4.30 so will get results a few days earlier and perhaps get something done if anything can be done.
Back home had tea, Took pooch out.  Watched Jaws on the movie box machine.  Aces.  Drank a bit of booze which was naughty.

Thursday 26th November 2015
Up at 5.45 - keep waking at 4am - not sure what that means.  Took dog out, fetched papers.  Went to Marchington to collect a power booster thing - think I've paid for a piece of scrap - I never learn - always go view first. Such is life.   Into the office for 9:30 so not a bad effort.    Ruddy Facebook showing me a picture from three years ago - a little nail in my heart.

Friday 27th November 2015
Up early.  Dog walked, papers fecthed.  In early 7.45.  Not a bad day.  Had to sort out a load of old file boxes - chuck it I was told so chuck it I did.  Got reports out on time.  Left early for X-rays at St Oswalds Hospital.   Got lucky was there 15 minus early and got x-rayed 10 mins early.   Took shopping to Pads and got drenched in two hundred yards, such is life.   Watched Derby bear Hull 2-0 away from home.

Saturday 28th November 2015
Up early.  Dog walked, papers fetched.  Fetched Lucy from Wirksworth sleepover at 8am.  Piccy Bs on way home.   Cleaned Missus car out.  Got golf stuff ready.  Fur and Feather didn't play anything like good enough although parred two from last three holes - weather was crap.   Nipped to Aldi on way home for a bottle or two.  Bed earlyish.  Very tired.

Sunday 29th November 2015 
Got up at 7.15 - chucking it down with rain.  Back to bed for 15 minutes, weather-check, off we go.  Dog walked.  Polished shoes. Checked on powerboost thing - not sure it's charging up TBH.  Oh Well.   Fantasy football team did well - 69 points so far.   Got loads of seeds put into envelopes to try out next year not sure if that's the done thing or not buy going to give it a go.  Got the greenhouse fully insultated with bubble wrap again.

 Nipped to Aldi around lunch time got some wine in for Xmas.  Over to me mum and dad's early afternoon so bosskat could go shopping.

Took pooch a walk round the hillside.  Cruddy weather but that's November I suppose. 

Came back home with ranty Phil.  That's an experience.  Watched you, me and the apocalypse with Lucy before bed a bit early.
