Monday 19th October 2015 to Sunday 25th October 2015

Monday 19th October 2015
Woke up mega early.  Stopped in bed until 5.45.  Took dog walk, got papers back home for 6.30.  Into office a little bit after 8am.  Out of the office a bit before 6pm.  Got home, had tea, walked pooch, worked on wlan for Cbay - utter failure am going to start again from scratch I reckon.  Bed at almost 11pm.  Not best pleased.

Tuesday 20th October 2015
Didn't sleep well as was really grumpy and it got into my dreamscape.  Never mind.  Got up proper at 5.30.  Dog walk and papers fetched by 6.40 as pooch going mega slow.  In the office a bit after 8am.  Meeting in the afternoon - interesting stuff.  Got home 6pm.  Tea.  Dog walked.  Telly.  Have given up on getting the firewall ready in time for next trip so pressure is now off.   Bed about 9.40 for a proper sleep.

Wednesday 21st October 2015
Up at 4:30, chucking it down with rain when I woke up.   Waited til about 6am then said "stuff it, rain it is!".  Dog walked and papers fetched.  In office for just gone 8am.

Thursday 22nd October 2015
Dog walk and everything done early doors.   Finished work around lunchtime and off to Wales.  A bizzard flew into the car on the way home which really spoilt things - beautiful bird.   Traffic to Wales was the usual pain in the backside with roadworks at Conwy really slowing things down.  Got there for about 8pm after a couple of stops.  Settled in and bed about 10pm'ish

Friday 23rd October 2015
Out with the dog early doors.  Brekko.  Walk up Parys mountain - apparently this was the biggest copper mine in the world at one time.  The chap who found the main seam of copper ore was given a house for life and a bottle of brandy back in the day.  Now it's just an other-worldly spot with very little growing but a lot of heritage.

Lucy and the boss on Parys Mountain

Then a wander around Amlwch and a bit of shopping at the co-op.  Back to the cottage and more walks.

Pooch on a beach

Bit of fishing of the ramp but hadn't got a lot of bait so didn't fish too long - not a bite to be had anyway.

Saturday 24th October 2015
Absolutely nailing it down with rain - even the pooch wasn't bothered about going out.  Around 11am it started clearing up and ended up quite nice.

By Saturday lunchtime rain had blown through

Fishing a mark called Rhosneigr

The usual  but also fished a local mark with Vic called the Lily Ponds.  I had a plaice first cast then nothing else, Vic has a string of Pollack.  Not a bad spot.  Slipped on my bad knee on the way back which wasn't ideal but on the positive side Derby beat Huddersfield 2-1!    Bit tired so no more fishing.

Sunday 25th October 2015
Up early (even though clocks had gone back), dog walking.  Went to Penhros for a long walk round.   Nice spot.

Penhros - reminded me of the Gretchen goes to Nebraska album cover.

Then Penhros retail park so boss kat and Lucy could do a bit of shopping.   Then to the Tollhouse for coffee and cake.  All good stuff.  Bit of fishing in the evening resulting in a few bites and a conversion - pin Whiting the nuisance that saved the blank.

Monday 12th October 2015 to Sunday 18th October 2015

Monday 12th October 2015
After watching Men in Black III (odd) and an episode of Bones I was ready for an early night last night.  So up at 5:50 and walking pooch a short while later after scraping the car windscreen (first frost?).   Papers fetched, ready for work and in by 8am - roads busy as there's been a nasty crash on M1   Finished work and got back about 6.30ish.  Tea then walked pooch - dropping dark unbelievably quickly now.  Then back home watched Cradle to Grave and a bit of the football but hell's teeth does Glen Hoddle's commentary grind on - you could induce a coma with him talking about anything I'm sure.    While doing that I was also configuring a firewall for a wifi project I've got coming later in the month.  Made a load of progress and so should be able to finish that off in short order I hope.  Bed closer to 11pm than I would have liked.

Tuesday 13th October 2015
Up at 5.45.  Dog walked, papers fetched - back home by about 6.30.  Into the office by 8am.  Got the missus and second, biggest and lastest Xmas present sorted by 1.30am so that's good!   Seen this today - talk about awesome application of technology.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vGcH0Bk3hg

Got home about 6.30.  Tea, dog walks and bog all else achieved - hate this time of year.  Bloody dark.

Wednesday 14th October 2015
Up at 5.45.  Dog walked, papers fetched. Work for just gone 8am. Back home. Tea. Dog walk. Messed about for hours trying to get the ruddy sonicwall wep keys to work .  What a pain!   11.15pm before got to bed - will pay for that tomorrow.

Thursday 15th October 2015
Up at 6:02 - said I'd pay for it.  Dog walk, Papers fetched.  Running an errand for the missus so went to Uttoxeter before work fetched some stuff.  Took dog another big walk and then into the office for 10.45am.   Will make time up over two days easy peasy.    Got a Griffin Beacon remote control for Ipad/Iphone to play with when I get home.  Short answer is the ruddy Beacon works fine but can't download the app for it in UK app store and can't set up a dummy account for US app store because of bloody Apple.  What a pain in the ass.  Bed in good time for a change though.

Friday 16th October 2015
Got up at 5.45 best I could do.   Dog walked, papers fetched.  All good stuff. Into work for 8.15am.  Grinder of a day with a gap for a presentation on pensions at 2pm.  Interesting stuff.  Somehow have got involved in a pub quiz tonight.  Hope it don't go on for too long - have got a lot to do.  Fantasy football team - made Martial captain - let's see how that plays out.  also replaced Firminho who has been a waste of space for me.

After work it was quick dog walk then up to the Shoulder of Mutton for some football team fundraiser Pub Quiz that was more fun that it sounds it turned out especially with a chip cob at half time.  Good.

Saturday 17th October 2015
Up early dog walked.  Papers fetched.  Did a bit down the lotty taking slabs up and bringing bags of rubbish off and down to the rubbish tip.  Then fetched brekkie for Lucy and mesen.  Then took pooch a big walk, then golf.  Back twinged on first tee so played 16 holes without taking a practice swing and did pretty well really - problem I have is on the greens - have no feel for putting at all.

Such is life.  Saturday night after chippie tea saw us driving into the back of beyond to see Jon Allen supported by Karima Francis at Alstonefield Village Hall - excellent fun and me and the missus were amongst the youngest there which is always nice!!

Sunday 18th October 2015
Pad's birthday so lots of high tension and hassle.  Got up at 8.20, dog w\alk,  did some jobs in greenhouse then did an hour or so down the lottie weeding the paths on 13 so I can get some weed resistant material down with slabs holding it down and bark in between - that's the plan.  Got most of it done just a small section left.  Back home fetched Pad's stuff with the boss of the world.  Took pooch another big walk up the back of the cricket ground towards Sprinkshill wood.

Lunch with me mum and dad and Pad coming.    Rugby on telly.  Got some tomatoes for me mum and dad after catching me mum scrumping.   Bit more Rugby.  Slight kip on the sofa.  Dog walk before dark.  Shoes polished.  Bedtime at 10pm.

Monday, 5 October 2015

Monday 5th October 2015 to Sunday 11th October 2015

Monday 5th October 2015
Up early. Dog walked.  Papers fetched. Toms watered.  Ready for work and in office before 8am.  A good start but will it last???  Back home in good time - weather rubbish. Tea  and short dog walk then a load of hassle with configuring the Sonicwall - watched Doc Martin at 9pm which was quite good I thought.   Bed for about 10.45 after doing some John Pye browsing.

Tuesday 6th October 2015
Up at 5.45.  Dog walked, papers fetched.  Work for a bit after 7am second day in a row there's been a queue past the Normo exit so getting off a bit earlier til roads sort themselves out.  Funny day in the office but it got done. Good day in the office.  Had to get off bang on time as boss going out at 6pm then I was going to a council meeting at 7pm.  When got there it was proper wierd and a friend who is on the council said that someone would be asking the questions for me - so went home and took dog a walk!!  Ace.  Last New Tricks on the telly.  Quite sad that it's disappearing really.  Such is life, nothing lasts for ever but the earth and sky to quote Kansas.  Bed for 10.30

Wednesday 7th October 2015
Woke up at 5.45, dog walked, papers fetched by 6.30. In the office before 8am.  Everything on rails. Picking up the missus' Xmas present later - how prepped am I!!!  Went to group another half on. Am right off the rails when it comes to weight at the minute.   Need a change.  Home about 5.30, tea, dog walk - went round the big meadow - very wet and dark by 7pm.  Read a white paper on virtual access points - a right rivetting read!!

Phil been tractoring at Brailsford Ploughing Match  - came home with a load of hats and socks!  Bed for about 9.45, very tired.

Thursday 8th October 2015
Told work I'd be in a bit later than usual as got to go Marchington to fetch something for the missus' mate.  Gave me an opportunity to take pooch a second walk in daylight for a change so we did the big wet meadow.  Let her off the lead as soon as we were over the bridge so she goes charging after a tractor that's going along the road on the other side of the hedge.  So back on the lead she goes until we start coming back alongside the river.

Got to work for about 10.30 so not too bad, going to stay late at work to make up the time.   Got home a bit after 7pm.  All good, found a power supply for a gadget I bought from an auction so that's all working albeit without a remote control (not that I think you need one for it really).   Couple more dog walks and lots of Bones boxset on the telly.  Phil likes it you see.  Missed Cradle to Grave so will have to catch that on the iplayer.   Bed before 10pm again.  Good

Friday 9th October 2015
Up at 5:50.  Dog walked, papers fetched by 6.30.   Watered toms a couple of plants are now getting towards being finished thank the Lord so I will be getting some space back soon!   Into the office about 8.15am.  Got home about 6.30.  All good.  Big walk with pooch then last episode of Midwinter of the Spirit then off to bed.

Saturday 10th October 2015
Up early'ish.  Dog walked. Papers fetched then off to Belper for Dog Grooming at Beth Crofts Dog Grooming.  Bit of breakfast and shopping at Morrissons then fetch dog home and up to golf course.  Lost a shiny pound to John but it was nice to get 18 holes in.  Had knee strapped up and that worked really well.  Beer in the clubhouse then back home.  Took pooch for a big walk up Sprinks Wood to try and find some conkers for Janette's friend but not to be found - don't think it's too late?  Got home - caught up with Dr Who which is as bizarre as ever!  Watcher a  bit of rugby and exchanged messaged with our Andrew who is fishing in Anglesey, the jammy bugger.

Sunday 11th October 2015
Lie-in til 7am! Another mild day which is good as my pumpkins are still out but will get them brought in today!!  Took pooch for a two mile walk to start the day and she loved it.  Down lotty to bring pumpkins in before the first frost (have chanced my arm enough now!).  Also took 2 bags of rubbish down to tip and 8 slabs up to number 13 to sort the paths out between the raised beds.   Back for 10am over to see me mum and dad.   Had a walk up the road to see if could find any conkers but only got three - apparently they keep spiders away?   Back home we went to Cross for lunch but it was chokker so that went down well with the boss, very well indeeed.  Got back home and kept out of the way for a bit - mowed front, back and outside too! All good stuff.    Took Phil some lunch (life or Riley).  Got back and we had visitors from Leek for an hour or so.  Down lotty to do a bit of tidying.  All good.  Back home

Tuesday, 29 September 2015

Monday 28th September 2015 to Sunday 4th October 2015

Monday 28th September 2015
Up early. Dog walked, papers fetched, off to work.  Loads done in the office.  Back home 6.15ish.  Mum has been admitted to Callow so am rather worried about that but will go visit tomorrow.  Big walk with the dog, couldn't let her off the lead as much as the field was full of other folks' dogs but nevermind she got a big walk.

A bit of telly and then off to bed 10.20ish

Tuesday 29th September 2015
Kept waking up as Phil needed to be up at 5am.  Woke him up at 4.55 then went back to bed for a bit.  Took dog out at 5.55am.  Watered toms, brekko and off to work.  A good day - Dad's fetched mum home, they've found out what the problem is (what my dad said it was days ago).  Home for 6.15.  Tea. Dog walked. Dark.  Naff-all

Almost dark at 7pm

Wednesday 30th September 2015
Up at 5:55. Dog walked, papers fetched (well 66% of, Express wasn't in). Went to Lotty to water the new stuff, fetched a bag of beans at same time.  Into the office a bit later at 8:30 but still in before most folks so pleased with that.  Helped out with some interviewing at work then went to Aldi then went over to see me mum who is on the mend which is great.  Got home for a bit after 9pm in time to watch next episode of Midwinter of the Spirit which is proper wierd, it's wierd in as much as I think the female lead of it used to be a young girl on Brookside donkey's years ago?  Watched champions league highlights then bed about 11pm - way too late!

Thursday 1st October 2015
Phil's alarm went off at 5am, then 5:05, then 5:10 so I went and asked him to switch the bugger off.  Went back to bed and didn't wake until 6:20 so behind before I even start.  Dog walked and back home for a bit after 7pm, in the office by 8:20.  Not best pleased.  Have worked for Slimming World for 24 years today.  Got home about 6.15.  Took the pooch for a walk in Mappleton for a change - not sure if I'll go again.  Need the boss to drop me off and pick me up perhaps next time.   Watched Dodgeball (again) and bed a bit after 11pm again - way too late.

Friday 2nd October 2015
Got up at 5:30.  Papers, dog walk.  Toms watered.  Office for 8.15.  All good stuff.  Had to leave work early so bosskat could go and keep an eye on me mum.  Dog walks and telly.   Bosskat back for 11pm.

Saturday 3rd October 2015
Up early.  Dog walk. Papers fetched.  A couple of hours on the lotty weeding.  Back home fetched piccy B for me and Lucy.  11.20 catching bus to Derby for the Brentford game which we'd go on to win 2-0.

Flag-happy linesman was a bit of a pain to say the least.
Back home for 6.15, plenty of time to walk the pooch and get ready for the disappointment that was Australia thrashing England at rugby.  Never mind, at least we got the ashes.

Bed about 10pm after a final quick dog walk.

Sunday 4th October 2015.
Up early. Dog walk. Loads of jobs in garden clearing away sunflowers, sweet peas, potatoes, planting daffodils and tulips.  Put a load of sweet peas in pots for next year.  All good stuff, late morning took the pooch for a big walk (well big for a dog with short legs anyway).  Saw geese flying west (not sure what that's all about).  Let dog off the lead for the most part which she loves, absolutely loves - still don't trust her 100% but it will come.

After walk went to Cross at Cauldon Lowe for lunch.  Very nice.  Back home we went down to lotty.  Strimmed and mowed.  Harvested a ton of runner beans, spuds, cabbage, the last (again) of the raspberries and butternut squashes.  Got some massive pumpkins ready just debating when to take them (before the first frost is the key);

Back home.  Lily gets second big walk of the day. 6pm and the sun really low.  Hate this time of year (it's rubbish).

Anyway, back home, polished shoes for tomorrow.  Did a few bits and bobs but went to bed at 9pm as was cream crackered.

Monday, 21 September 2015

Monday 21st September 2015 to Sunday 27th September 2015

Monday 21st September 2015
Up at 5:30am.  Walked dog and fetched papers.  Watered greenhouse.  Into office before 8am.  Straight-forward drive in.  All good. Got home about 6pmish.  Tea then took dog walk.  Then spent two and a bit more hours trying to get a firewall setup for a project in October.  Made very little progress but I do know that LAN goes in port 1, WAN in port 2 and WLAN in port 3.  Other than that a good waste of a couple of hours.   Derby managed a goal-less draw with third-placed Burnley so not end of World I suppose but glad I'd not spent a load of money on a 0-0 at home on a Monday night!

Tuesday 22nd September 2015
Up at 5.30.  Raining so went to bed for another 10 minutes or so,  Still raining so took dog out anyway.  Into office for just gone 8am.  Back home for 6pm, quick tea then off to football training with Lucy and the missus and the pooch.  Lily dog loves Osmaston Polo Ground.

Back home for 7:30ish - by crikey it drops dark quick.  Watched some telly - Mountain Goats seems to be TV of choice at the moment which is grand.   Bed for about 10:30

Wednesday 23rd September 2015
Woke about 4am got up proper at 5:50.  Dog walked, papers fetched. Into office for about 8am.  Everything on rails. Got home in good time.  Tea.  Dog walked. Down lotty in heavy drizzle brought a load of runner beans, a butternut squash and some raspberries back.  Did a load of work with the firewall project - definitely making progress but by crikey is it complicated!  Watcher Midwinter of The Spirit - which was good stuff - touches of True Detective series 1 about it but good all the same.  Bed about 10:30

Thursday 24th September 2015
Woke at 5am, got up at 5:50am!   Dog walked, papers fetched into the office for 8am.  More tidying up to do.

Friday 25th September 2015
Up early.  Dog walked.  Papers.  Work.  Nipped to Tesco at lunchtime got some twin packs of pringles with the Now TV vouchers on em.  So could watch the mighty Rams at some point (tomorrow technically!).

Saturday 26th September 2015
Woke up at 7am!   Lie-in.  Dog walked, papers fetched.  Piccy B.  Clearing the shed out until 11:30 for car boot merchandise.  11.50  getting computer working so could watch the mighty Rams take on MK Dons. After Derby won by a flattering 3-1 I did lawns and what have you.

Sunday 27th September 2015
Up early again.  Noone needing waking up apart from the boss of the world who was going car booting.  Dog walked twice.  Did sausage cobs for Lucy and Phil about 9am and then went to Alstonefield for the car boot.  Sold a couple of things while I minded the stall so boss-kat was happy.
Got back and washed the car, let dog out.

Lunch at the Grouse in Darley Dale.  Very nice, mum not very well at all though.  Back home, little dog very pleased to see us so talk her a big walk in the meadow - we've started letting her off the lead and she loves it - still worries me but she's a good wee girl really.

Pooch demonstrating that three feet on the ground is all you need.

A tiny dog in a massive field.

After walk we went down lotty to get more beans and a couple of butternut squashes.  Brought raspberries and two butternut squashes back too - all good stuff.

Pumpkins pretty much ready - might get them before September's out.

Went to bed at 9.45.  All good stuff woke up to have a look at the Blood Moon eclipse at 1:30 but couldn't find the moon and didn't have quite enough commitment to find it if I'm honest.  I reckon it was in the south and as we've not got a window that looks out that way I thought I'd better return to bed!

Monday, 14 September 2015

Monday 14th September 2015 to Sunday 20th September 2015

Monday 14th September 2015
Woke up at 4am, got up at 5.30.  Dog walked, papers fetched, greenhouse watered, into office for 7.45.   All on rails, pretty much. Back home for about 6pm.  Tea, dog walked. Soundbar sorted out (more or less).  Sorted Phil's tea.  Did a bit of work on a network install for October.

Sonicwall 2040 Firewall Switch - the dogs wotsits don't go far enough!!
Watched a bit of Doc Martin.  Bed before 10:30

Tuesday 15th September 2015
Up at 5.40.  Dog walked, papers fetched.  Work for 8.30 and best part of a hour and a half to get into the office due to a lorry breaking down on J28 roundabout. Pain in the arse to start the day off.  Odd day in the office.  Home for about 6pm.   Tea, then got Phil to drop me off at Osmaston where missus had taken Lucy for football practice.  Walked the pooch and as I'd got the missus with me let the pooch off the lead to play fetch.  Great stuff.  Back home for about 8pm.  Listened to first half of Reading vs Derby, took pooch out at half time, listened to second half and Ince got the goal to give Derby second win on the road in successive games.  All good stuff, asleep by about 10;15 I reckon.

Wednesday 16th September 2015
Woke up at 3am.  Struggled back to sleep then got up late at 5.47.  Quick walk up town with pooch, papers fetched. Got Lucy up a bit earlier than usual.  Into office for 8am. Home a bit earlier.  Tea. Dog walk to cemetery and back.  Out on bike for first time in a while - need to make it a bit of a habit.  Watched Cradle to Grave then watched Later With Jools and saw Squeeze doing the theme tune which was good.  Then watched something about Brits fighting against Isis which was very sad. Bed about 11:30pm - way to late.

Thursday 17th September 2015
Up at 5:50, only just in time to take pooch out and get papers.  Got into to work for 8.10 after getting some juice on the way. Back home for about 6pm.  Tea then dog walk.  Then went with Phil to admire his hedge cutting work.  Marvellous.  Then out on bike again for second night running nine miles to Okeover Park and back - saw a barn owl for the second night running, there used to be one near Callow Hall which is in the vicinity but to see it two nights running is pretty good.  Bit of telly - Cradle to Grave then bed about 10:45pm.

Friday 18th September 2015
Woke up at 5am on the dot.  Went back to sleep and got up late at 6:05.  Dog walked, papers fetched into the office for just gone 8am.  Quite pleased - had the first Post-Fish Marillion album on in the car and it's still a good listen.  Went for a ride round on the bike - helped in rescuing a dog on the way up Mafield road.  Watched England's first match on telly - wasn't entirely impressed.

Saturday 19th September 2015
Up early, dog walked, papers fetched.  Serviced me fishing kit as that will be going on the shelf for Winter I reckon.

Did the greenhouse.   Subscribed for Times six-day - three months for the price of one and then £5 a week thereafter - will review whether I think it'll work in a month or so. Fetched Piccy B brekko for Lucy and meself.  Strimmed front and back then off for golf at 12.00am with John and Doug.  First half was a bit rubbish but played back nine quite well parred 10th, 13th, 14th,16th  and bogied the others apart from 15 where I lost a ball at the side of the green somewhere - crappy rough.
Have started letting the pooch off when we walk her in the big field.  So far she's not let me down

Sunday 20th September 2015
Up early.  Dog walked - Geese flying South for the winter - it's a sign...

Down to Lotty on bike about 8am.  Cleared the raised bed that had peas in it.  Took a load of rubbish down to the tip.  Back for 10:10am to give the boy a lift to work.  Back for a bit after 11am.  Off to the Okeover Arms at Mappleton for Sylvira's do.  Back home.  Dog walk. Not much else done.

Tuesday, 8 September 2015

Monday 7th September 2015 to Sunday 13th September 2015

Monday 7th September 2015
Up really early.  Dog walked, papers, everything done, into office for 7:30am.  Got a ruddy ton done and away for 4.20pm so could take Lucy to training with ex England International Sue Smith.

Ashbourne Aztecs with Sue Smith of Doncaster Rovers and England Ladies' football fame

Dropped Lucy off at home and at 8pm in near darkness whizzed down Lotty to pick up spuds I'd left to dry, put em in trays and then into shed to dry further.  They will be going in bags in a day or two I reckon.

Spudulika City

Tuesday 8th September 2015
Up less early.  Dog walked, papers fetched.  Stuck in poxy traffic on the A52 for fifteen minutes.  Tesco for fuddle then into office for 8.20.  Pleased with that overall.  Busy day.  Home for about 6pm.  Tea then off walking and blackberrying with the bride and the small pooch - miserable dull day and almost dark when we got home about 7:30pm.  Saw some Canadian Geese in the fields below which was cool.    Watched New Tricks and some American Tat that Phil had on.   Spent some time looking for a book for Lucy.   Off to bed about 11pm!!  Way too late.

Wednesday 9th September 2015
Woke up a bit before 5am - way too early.  Got up proper at 5:50am.  Dog walked, papers fetched. Polished LuLu's shoes for School.  Got a 28w Double D bulb out of a light fitting in the bathroom - damn bulb needs replacing - got one from ScrewFixDirect.  Back home fitted it in five minutes - illumination again.   Spent half an hour trying to find some documentation for Phil to no avail but did find two old PPI documents.  Good stuff.  Reading in bed at 9pm as got a bit sick of watching Phil's American crap on telly or bake-off in the other room.

Thursday 10th September 2015
Awake at 5am, up at 5.40am.  Dog walked, papers fetched and back home by 6.30, in the office before 8am - everything on rails this morning.

Friday 11th September 2015
Off today.  Ha ha.  Up early anyway, dog walked, papers fetched.  Down lotty until 8:30.  Over to John Pye to fetch a soundbar that has something missing - lesson learned don't ever bid on something you've not had a bloody good look at. Never mind have ordered the missing bit for £14 bloody quid.  Took pooch out for a final walk then off to Wales.  Got there in 3 hours 15mins.  Bloody marvellous.  Settled into Cottage quick and beer o'clock time.   Fished the night tide in the rain not a bite.

Saturday 12th September 2015
Chucked it down all night but rain eased up about 8:15am.  Breakfast from the butty van.  Over to Amlwch, quick visit to Telboys for some weights and some bait.  Had a look at the breakwater and folks already in the best spot so we went to Llanbadrig where I had bites but caught nowt while our Andrew caught 3 Wrasse, 3 pollack, 1 mackerel.  Such is life.

Back to base.  Dug more bait for the evening.

Wild big tide coming in, fish not coming in.

Sunday 13th September 2015
Up about 6am went down to the beach and recovered one rig lost the previous night.

Church Bay on going home day

Heron still hunting in the same pools

Tidied up and car loaded ready for the drive home. Breakfast off the van.  Got home in under 3.5 hours - magic.

Monday, 31 August 2015

Monday 31st August 2015 to Sunday 6th September 2015

Monday 31st August 2015
Woke up early but as it's a bank holiday I didn't bother getting out of bed until 7am.  Fetched papers with the pooch in the rain.  Been chucking it down from small hours.  Doing a few jobs on the laptop this morning.  Saw this chap on Vintage TV a few weeks ago called Jon Allen, bizarrely he is doing a date at Alstonefield Village Hall so I might just have to go to that one - we'll see.   Did a bit on the lotty in the rain - put a shelf up in Shed 7, moved the door latch to accommodate the big water barrels. Weeded some of 13 and banged some lime down for the brassicas that will be going in shortly.    Took missus to John Pye Auctions in the afternoon to look at lots.  We'll probably end up paying over the odds on some tat but such is life.  As Phil was doing his Citizen Siddall thing and boss kat was out and about I had to cycle down to the Farm and do the chickens for Phil's godparents.  Absoluetely drenched but such is life - got half a dozen eggs! Bed late waiting for the citizen.

Tuesday 1st September 2015
Hell's teeth it's September.  Wierdly August's solar generation was only 4% down on  1st year estimate for August so not a bad result considering how grey and miserable it seemed to be.   Up at 5.45.  Dog walked, papers fetched, into the office for 8am.  On rails.  Good day - solving a problem but possibly uncovering new ones!  Tea about 7pm then down to the farm to do them hens - another half-dozen eggs.

Wednesday 2nd September 2015
Up 5.45am.  Papers fetched dog walked, few little jobs in greenhouse and  outside.  Going into office a bit late as have got to go and collect something from Uttoxeter for the boss. Job done and into the office a bit before 11am.  Worked til 6:30 on some interesting stuff.  Home for a bit after 7pm.  Hens done, dog walked.  Bed for about 10.30

Back home for 6pm.  Picking up slabs near Tean for the allotment with Phil and his tractor by 6.30.  Back home again by 7:30, tea then down to do the hens took Lucy so she could get some eggs, trouble is by 8 o'clock it was dark and the hens retreat to their perches.  Bed by 10pm back will hurt tomorrow and no mistake.

Friday 4th September 2015
Woke at 5am thanks to Phil's alarm.  Didn't get up til 5:50am though.  Dog walked, papers fetched, greenhouse done, into office for 8.20 after getting some bits for a birthday fuddle at the office.  n way home I followed a motorbike with pillion passenger and a single wheel trailer attached - have never seen anything quite like it  - very Heath Robinson affair.

Saturday 6th September 2015
Up early, dog walk, papers, piccy B at 8.20!!  Did a few greenhouse jobs.  Worked on a network install for later in the year - bought 4 access points and a router for under a tenner!   Ace.   Anyway, that took a while to get going but it will work I think.  Did a bit of web work.  Down lotty with missus - pulling up me spuds and stuff.  O

Sunday 7th September 2015
Up early again.  Dog walked, bit of brekko. Down the lotty for 8.15am.  Did loads - pulling spuds, garlic, fennel then left about 12.15ish for sausage and bacon cob.   Fun and games with tractors in the afternoon giving Phil a hand - nice when you rise to the level of last resort to give someone a tow!  Over to me mum and dad's very late for tea.  Dog got a little walk up Whitworth Road, Red Arrows flew over twice (they really didn't have to do that).
