Poxy puncture plunges plans into pandemonium

Drat, drat and double drat. Did a solid eleven miles last night (check cycle log link) so Monday's total was 20+ - everything's ticking over nicely on the exercise front and what do I find at 6:10 this morning, back rotten tyre flat as a pint of mild. So didn't get on road until gone 6:40 resulting in under 5 miles clocked for the day so far. Not amused.

Bike sans back wheel, petrol can is for holding reat derailleur off ground although was considering burning it to an inch of it's life...

Bloomin thorn - these tyres are supposed to be puncture-proof too!

What is fortunate though is that I'm fairly sure the thorn came from a hedge that was cut near Mappleton, if the puncture had been worse I could have been pushing home for three miles or so. So a small reason to be cheerful!

Oh, and for those waiting for a Liverpool 6 Derby 0 post, please be patient am sure by the end of the season I might see a good side to that too.
