Sunday 30 December 2012

Sunday 30th December 2012 to Saturday 5th January 2013

Sunday 30th December 2012
Up at 6:30, did nowt for ages then nowt for a bit more.   Took pooch out for a mile and a half.  Then did a big run -  nine and a bit miles.

Says 10.31 pace miles but there was a four minute comfort break on the fifth mile which slowed ruined the average.  It'd probably still have been a bit over ten miles but probably not much.   Never mind still upping the distance.

Took pooch for a slow walk after as a bit of a warm down.  Proper knackered.

Over to me mum's for tea - proper grand t'was too.

Monday 31st December 2012
Up at 8am - took pooch out.  Jeepers another birthday seems to be one every year. John and Mo dropped by, then me bro and Shona dropped by.  Then took the clan to lunch at Stepping Stones everything running on raills.  . Took pooch out  later in the day up golf course.  Proper hacked off with this weather.  Pooch saw swans and had a good think about having a crack I reckon.

Tuesday 1st Janaury 2013
Am proper hungover this morning and no mistake.  I reckon it's the start of Dryathlon this month so am more than ready for it.  Up at 7:30 took pooch out on the mile and a half loop which was nice.  Feel like death warmed up at the moment - it's not good.

Wednesday 2nd January 2013
Tired but up.  Took pooch out. Work not too bad.  Went to see Lynne Riley's group in Eckington - all a bit hectic but rocking as usual.  Then down to Hollie's group in Belper for weigh-in.   Ouch! 6lbs on.  "Reap as ye sow" and all that.  Anyway, got home did a 5 mile run.  Pleased with that.

Thursday 3rd January 2013
Up at 5:50.  Took pooch out for a quick walk - mile and a third.  Over to visit Mark Flaherty's group in Stretton.  Very good new member talk and off to the office.  After work over to Bakewell sort out cousin Bri's TomTom it's working but taking a while to download to say the least. TomTom updated it seems MyTomTom app doesn't work with certain browsers so am going to get Google Chrome put onto his PC and all should be sorted.  Went a run / walk / run sort of a thing last night as went out without a torch down watery lane which doesn't have streetlights - saw a shooting star first and then what I assume was one of these meteorites burning up - much brighter than a shooting star and with a bit of a smoke trail sort of thing - it looked ace.  So walked up and down watery lane but didn't see another.  Such is life.

Friday 4th January 2013
Up at 4am got Phil up, went back to bed, got up at 5am - cloudy so not going to see the meteor shower - went back to bed.  Got up at 4:50 took pooch out. Funny day at work - put an old friend to sleep sort of...
Anyroad, it's another job off the list. Got me dad's memory upgrade done on way to drop off the TomTom Sat Nav live via that is now totally sorted.  Nice.

Back home, tea, then a five mile run in 49.21 so nicely paced and another ticked off the plan!

Saturday 5th January 2013
Up at 8am!!!! Cripes.  Took Pooch out but no battery in phone so didn't record it.  Up in attic putting Xmas stuff away - how quick it spins by.  Golfing at 12.27 bit slow going but luckily there we only played 14 holes so we got round quickly enough - 3.5 miles in 2hrs 15.    Took pooch for another walk up the golf course for a mile about tea time and that was enough for the day.

Sunday 23 December 2012

Sunday 23rd December 2012 to Saturday 29th December 2012

Sunday 23rd December 2012
Got up at 5am to get Phil off.  Back to bed then up at 8:30.  Took Pooch a walk - very wet got blocked off down at the farm and had to come back.

Am expecting myasics.com to email me later to ask if I ran 7.5 miles as part of the marathon training plan.  To which I'll reply yes and then some.
Did an 8 miler this morning at 10:06 pace including a fair bit of flood avoidance, which was good.
http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/114408425

Listened to a load of Zep tracks, still think the guitar solo in Stairway is the best, most fitting guitar work that ever got onto tape, also finished last mile with Kashmir as the backdrop - bloody awesome.

Monday 24th December 2012
Nearly Xmas.  Got up at 4am, saw Phil off.  Back to bed, up at 6:30, whizzed up to Sainsbobs, got some final bits and bobs.  Got back.  Took pooch out.  Did a ton of wrapping.  Took ppoch out.  Did a 3 mile run in just over 10 min miles.  Looks worse because when got back couldn't stop the clock.   Found where the unlock button is on me blackberry.  About time.  All good.

Tuesday 25th December 2012
Up at 4:10am to make sure Phil got up. Back up about 7:30, took pooch out for a couple of miles.  Will get on with the business of Xmas shortly!  Me

Wednesday 26th December 2012
Up at 7:30 - cripes.  Should be hungover but sort of not.  Took pooch out for a couple of miles.  In the afternoon the whole family went out for a 3 miler!  Ace, very flooded though but will make for a cracking walk in summer time.

Thursday 27th December 2012
Am getting to the I'm sick of all this excess stage now.  MUST get a decent run in today.  Took Pooch out for a couple of miles first thing.  Did six miles and at least three walks so all good.   Endomondo said "Paul Siddall was out running. He tracked 6.05 mi in 59m:28s.
Personal best 3 miles of 26m:17s which is a 1m:08simprovement."

Which I was pretty pleased with.

Friday 28th December
Up at 4am to get Phil up then back to bed until 5:30.  Got up to take pooch out but weather was awful. So didn't get much of a walk done.  Into work for 8am all good.

Took them drums down and got em caged up ready to be put away for storage til next year.

A wreckage of broken sticks and tat:

According the Myasics plan I've got a five mile buildup run to do tonight (might skip it and go tomorrow unless weather improves.

Monday 17 December 2012

Sunday 16th December 2012 to Saturday 22nd December 2012

Sunday 16th December 2012
Up at 4am but damn tired.  2 mile loop with Pip just after 6am. Mini walk up golf course for .8 of a mile with pooch just after noon.  Six mile run in the afternoon at about 10:23 pace which is okay for now.

Dinner at mum and dad's got a very nice jumper (oh yes), then carpet cleaning when we got back after borrowing a Kirby  of Uncle Michael - ace!

Monday 17th December 2012
Got up at 4am, made sure Phil was up, watched three overs (still looking like a nailed-on draw) back to bed for an hour and a half, up at 5:40, took pooch up town and back.  Shower, shave, brekko, off to work.

Bit of a rehearsal after work - nailed one song that was causing me trouble, back home, tea then carpet cleaning again.  Took pooch out but she didn't want to walk again, just like Sunday night - funny hound.

Tuesday 18th December 2012
Up at 4am to make sure Phil got off to work, went back to bed and didn't get up again until 5:55.  Dead tired, Test match is catching up on me. Anyway, a quick 2.75 mile walk with the pooch.   Showered, shaved  and ready for work.  Hoovered front room so we could get furniture back into position then off to work.

Saw this today - awesome.

Good rehearsal. Back home for 7:30, took Pip out - she's really not into evening walks at the minute bless her.   Anyroad up, did a five mile run at just under 10 min miles to finish off.   Started off and finished with sub 10 min miles and a rubbish couple in the middle.

Wednesday 19th December 2012
Up at 4am, sent Phil off to work.  Back to bed, up again at 5:40, took pooch out on a mini loop 1.4miles, then got a load of mini-jobs done, went and fetched papers and had a bit of a run from leisure centre to paper shop with the pooch.  Then back home and up attic to get Xmas stuff down. In work for 8:30 bit later than usual bot acceptable.  A better rehearsal - it's coming together thank the lord!
Group after that, just half a pound off this week but it's a loss of sorts!

Did a 3 mile run in the pi$$ing down rain. No fun and Endomondo didn't track it proper - said it took me 13 minutes to do the first mile which was a load of old rubbish,
http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/114060797

Thursday 20th December
Took Pooch out for a short walk to do her business - weather crap and am sick of it.
http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/114087231

Moved all the kit up stairs into the main room and got it set ready for early doors practice on Friday.

Friday 21st December
Brief walk as pooch didn't want to go far.  Got stuff ready for fancy dress and drumming mullarky.
Garrr, I went as a pirate.

Had Rich from the Lix come and do lights for us for the big do and it worked a treat.  We had a new guy do some singing for us; Jamie Fowkes and he did a really good job - everyone pleased which considering the lack of rehearsal is great!!

Saturday 22nd December 2012
Yesterday I was supposed to do a 5 mile comfortable run according to the marathon training plan I'm doing but I didn't.  Am going to have to pick that up today somehow if the rain stops.  Tomorrow it's going to tell me I've got a 7.5 mile run!

Rain never stopped.  Took Pooch for a walk up the golf course - golf was cancelled.

Sunday 9 December 2012

Sunday 9th December 2012 to Saturday 16th December 2012

Sunday 9th December 2012
Up at 4am to watch cricket get finished off.  Todays big project to get a freezer out of the utility room and a new massive fridge freezer in - major job was to remove all the stuff out of the utility room first. Anyway it all got done.  Went out for a run at 7 o'clock ish in the evening and a good un too.  5 miles with 9:36 pace will do nicely!

Monday 10th December 2012
Pooch barking at 5am so got up and took her a walk.   Mile and a half was all I fancied as weather is rotten freezing - I can't stand Winter - worst time of year.   Band practice tonight so that late back from t'office I reckons.  Busy day at work, rehearsal til gone 6pm, back home, tea then took pooch out for 2.5 miles.

Tuesday 11th December 2012
Up at 5:30.  Quate tired but getting used to it.  Took pooch on the shorter 1.5 mile loop again as it was very, very cold.   Saw shooting star again this morning and saw a shooting star last night.  Was trying to work out which way the stars move as the constellations I could see last night seem to have buggered off somewhere this morning and couldn't locate them at all this morning.  Went for a 2.5 mile run dead late on - 9:47 or something like but the phone seems to have lost gps so it's not recorded other than 21:58 as being the time.

Wednesday 12th December 2012 : 12/12/12
Up at 5:40 but that's ok.  Took pooch on the shorter loop as it's bloody freezing again and she's not too keen on this sort of cold.  Funny day at work.  2.5lbs lost this week - couldn't stop for group though.   Missus not best pleased with me as also had a rehearsal to do.   Took Pip a short walk.

Thursday 13th December 2012
Up at 4am.  Watching Cricket, did a few Xmas cards all good.  Took Pip but she didn't want to go far in -8 freezing conditions.   Then went for a bit of a run up town to get papers.   Then took Pip out again to do her business!

Friday 14th December 2012
Up at 4am - cricket at Christmas card. Cool.  Took Pip out - like a bloomin ice rink out there today.   Band rehearsal tonight, hopefully it won't go on too late!

Saturday 15th December 2012
Up at 4am  - cricket time!  Took Pip out first at 4.45, then 3.5 miles at 6.25 to get papers.

Golf cancelled due to weather.  Took Pip up golf course for a walk.  Got over a dozen golf balls in the process which should keep me going for a while.  Got the yak shack updated so we've now got three yaks stored.

Monday 3 December 2012

Sunday 2nd December 2012 to Saturday 8th December 2012

Sunday 2nd December 2012
Up early about 6am, packed up and on the road by 8am.  Came back a slightly different route from normal missing out the M6 altogether - it might be one for quiet days but it only took 3hrs 10minutes

Got back to sunny Ashbourne for not long after 11am.  All good stuff.  Took the pipster up the golf course and then round by Peach's Farm managing to fall headlong at one point - luckily no-one around to see it happen (hope so anyway).

Cold day but washed the cars as they needed doing, then walk for pipster about 8pm then off to bed.   All good stuff.

Monday 3rd December 2012
Struggled to get up at 5:40am but did anyway.  Took pip up town and back to fetch papers  then back to work.  All good.   Endomondo appears to be not working again.  Back from work took Pooch out for another mile - freezing but getting warmer.

Tuesday 4th December 2012
Up at 5:40 (Phil already gone to work, bless him!), took Pooch out for 3.88 miles, Endomondo's jiggered I think.  Never mind.   Reloaded poxy endomondo to get it working again.  Took pooch out in the evening for a mile or so - need a new evening walk sorting out really.  Then went a run - 2.2 miles at 9:13min miles - which was nice - no pooch slowing me down you see!

Wednesday 5th December 2012
Weigh day, putting extra effort in to achieve a maintain after the alcoholic madness of the weekend!  Just under four miles with the pooch to start the day off.   All over the spot today - trip up to High Green, Sheffield back to the office calling at Eckington on the way.  Finishing off at Belper lots of installs gone well today.   Group at Belper - an unexpected pound loss after drinking a ton of booze at the weekend I'd got it together Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday!    Took Pooch out in the evening when I got back for a mile and a half.   Then off to bed relatively early for a very early start on Thursday.

Thursday 6th December 2012
Up at 4am - took pooch out very briefly when India got all out and England came in to bat.  Watched a bit of cricket, at lunch (cricket) I took Pooch for a two and a bit mile walk and got back just in time for the first over of the afternoon session at 6.10am!  Cool.  Then fetched a parcel from post office and set off for a group in Burton-on-Trent.  Job done back up A38 to the office all ticking over.    Raining absolute cats and dogs in the evening so no walk with the pooch - she didn't wanna go, bless her!

Friday 7th December 2012
Pooch barking all night.  Took her a walk at 2am and that settled her down a bit.  Up at 5:30, wanted to get up at 4am to watch the cricket but was way too tired.  Watched a bit of it,  England look to be in total control, hope it stays that way, certainly can't see us doing any worse than drawing it.  Took poochy out for a very short walk as she didn't want to go anywhere which suited me.

Saturday 8th December 2012
Up early door to watch cricket.  Took pooch out.  Golf at lunch time.  Not bad - quite a few pars and a birdie on the 6th.

16/3

Sunday 25 November 2012

Sunday 25th November 2012 to Saturday 1st December 2012

Sunday 25th November 2012
Up early.  Little mini walk with the pooch up to the cemetary and back.  Weather crap then got home to watch the cricket.  Awesome England performance.  Most enjoyable.

Two mid-day walks with pooch then a 7 mile run on me tod.  Just over 10 min miles according to Endomondo.

Monday 26th November 2012
Got up at 4am to watch England finish off India.  Cracking finish t'was too with Compton getting some runs on the board. Too pooch out while England got changed round.  Took pooch up town and back to fetch papers, weetabix,  then off to work.

Tuesday 27th November 2012
Up all night due to pooch randomly barking.  Then had to make sure that Phil got up at 4am for work (don't know why - he's been quite good at getting to work without me being an alarm clock resource for him).  Dragged self out of bed at 5:50ish and took Pip out for just short of four miles.  For some reason Endomondo is not updating so there's a seven mile run and two walks at least outstanding.  Did a bit of running this morning with the pooch which was good - just under four miles covered.  Crappy weather again unfortunately.

1.1 mile evening walk with pooch.

Wednesday 28th November 2012
Sorted Endomondo, lost Sunday, Monday and Tuesday morning's exercise but that's life.  A re-install fixed the problem of Endomondo not updating the online profile with the workout information.  Already playing up though this morning's walk should be just under four miles.  However, it's 1.87 plus .44 miles which is a load of rubbish, never mind.

Went to group another 2lbs off - 1st 1lbs in 6 weeks - acceptable I think.

Thursday 29th November 2012
Big meeting today - sort of looking forward to it.  Pooch walk first - 3.5 miles with the pipster bit of running mixed in there she loves it.  Shame to leave her at home today as she wanted to play but work comes first!  In the office for just after 8am - final preparations.

Friday 30th November 2012
Supposed to be going away this weekend but got to nip into work first and make a few calls.  Not a problem - have got fishing stuff ready. Clothes ready, food ready.  All ready but in the office presently!  N'er mind.  Took Pipster out but only for a mile as it was bloomin freezing and we haven't got her a coat yet, bless her.   In Wales by 4:30, still light but not for long. Perishing cold.  Brother arrived 8:30, fishing by 9:30 just a couple of whiting caught very cold indeed.

Next morning we did a reccy of a mark called Lillyponds although we weren't definitely sure of being on the mark people have since said we were thereabouts!!   So we'll have another look at it in 2013 for sure!

Apparently it's to the right of this point:

We fished the low tide off Church Bay beach in the cold and rain - no fun - I got a solitary dogfish, our Andrew blanked.

Back up the hill for a bit of snap then back down for high tide and with the rain gone it was almost pleasant!  Wall to wall Whiting for the most part and then a surprise visit from Billy Bass made up for the cold.  Andrew also had a rockling and I had another dogfish - all good stuff.

16/4

Sunday 18 November 2012

Sunday 18th November 2012 to Saturday 24th November 2012

Sunday 18th November 2012
Up before 7am but not by much!  Took Pipster out for a 3.5 mile walk which Endomondo didn't upload but I got a picture of just in case!!!

Wierdly, it did later upload properly?  Most odd. On Endomondo it's here.

Went to Donnington Market after various bits and bobs.  Didn't come back with much but never mind.  At 2pm started painting the two fence panels that Phil drove his tractor into some time back.  Got done by 4pm which is good as it was getting damn cold.

Did Yorkshire puds as per BBC Saturday Kitchen recipe which unfortunately meant having way too much mixture so will probably have to do make some more this week!

Monday 19th November 2012
Up at about 5:40, took Pooch out for 4.2 miles according to EndoMondo - might just have a look at mapping it manually to see how much it should be.   If I map it out using BikerouteToaster.com it comes to 3.8 miles so not totally out of whack but it's on the generous side!  Pooch didn't want to go out, bless her but we did a little walk about 10 o'clock bumping into Monty the westie from up the hill and Blue the sheepdog from next door in our travels. All good.

Tuesday 20th November 2012
Up earlyish.  Took the pooch out but it was chucking it down so we only did a mile and a half
but better than nowt. Into work for just after 8am again.  Call from National Field Manager at 8.30am.   Lot of meetings in the day, all good stuff.  Noise practice after work

Wednesday 21st November 2012
Didn't get out of bed til almost 6am!!  Took pooch a mile and half in the pouring rain.  Then went up town in car to leisure centre to add another half mile without her but absolutely wet through at the end of it all.  Weigh-in night tonight then up to golf club for the weekly draw.

Thursday 22nd November 2012
Struggling to get out of bed much before 6am, v. poor.  Just under 3 miles covered with the pooch.

Friday 22nd November 2012
Up at a similiar time as Thuesday.   Short 2.5 mile loop done.  Acceptable giving conditions
Meal up at the Blue Bell, Tissington using Groupon vouchers very good.

Saturday 23rd November 2012
Just short of four miles with the pooch.   Good stuff.  Golf at lunchtime but only nine holes due to crap weather.

16/6

Monday 12 November 2012

Sunday 11th November 2012 to Saturday 17th November 2012

Sunday 11th November 2012 to Saturday 17th November 2012
All exercise now getting logged into http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/107578952

Sunday 11th November 2012
Up early - took pooch out.  Did some bread. Ripped all the Sunflowers up and got em into a very stuffed green bin.  Took missus to Burton for some shopping.  Me, Lucy and bosskat took dog a walk up the golf course in the afternoon all good.

Monday 12th November 2012
Up early as usual - dog walked by 6am.  Back door is broken so did a make-shift locking up using a bit of wood.  Bosskat ringing the joiner to come and have a look.  Bosskat has decided we need a new door so there you go.

Tuesday 13th November 2012
Pipster not well, bless her only walked quarter of a mile and wanted to turn back.  Never mind, got her insurance sorted and contacted the people that have the contact details associated with her microchip as well.   Did a mini run to fetch papers.

Band rehearsal after work.  Missus went home.  Took pooch out once she got back, just up to cemetry and back.   Forgot phone but it's another mile to the good!

Wednesday 14th November 2012
Up at 5:40!  Lie in.  Took the pooch out.  Endomondo says it was 4.11 miles but I don't reckon it's accurate - 3 miles maybe.   Went to group after work - just another pound and a half gone but 11.5lbs in four weighs is steady progress considering I has a drink or two (or three) at the weekend.

Thursday 15th November 2012
Tired this morning, got up at 5:40 out with the Pipster ten minutes later.  An hours worth of walk/run and 3.5 miles covered. Pooch has a lie down - I go to work - who's the fool?

Another busy day,  back home tasty tea.  Regripped the Callaway driver, don't know if playing on Saturday but it wanted doing anyway.  Pip went out but wouldn't walk - think she's not keen when it's cold.

Friday 16th November 2012
Up at 5:30 on the dot, Phil already gone to work bless him. Anyway, took Pooch for a mini-walk.  Then came back and made some bread rolls (did the dough last night).  Then did a mini-walk to get papers and forgot to switch off Endomondo so there's a bit of car journey in there too!  So two miles proper covered with the pooch which is better than nowt!

Saturday 17th November 2012
Up a bit late, woke up early doors, read last bit of Shadow of the Wind,  then got up 6:30 to take pooch out.  Did some light bulb replacing and a bit of work in anticipation of a meeting next week. Golf at 12:30, we only just got round before it got dark as group in front were slow as hell.  Didn't play bad but John H played better and took the money.    Nipped over to Bakewell to sort my cousin's TomTom out - and failed.  Never mind - have emailed em.  Pipster not up for going for a walk when got back - bit nippy for her.

16/7.5

Sunday 4 November 2012

Sunday 4th November 2012 to Saturday 10th November 2012

Sunday 4th November 2012
Got up at 7am!  Took dog out and tested Endomondo at same time.  Still evaluating - seems to stop tracking when you press the button on top of phone. http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/105275277

Washed cars.  Made bread. Blocked all the exits / entrances to the shed to keep Pip out of em. In afternoon took Pip up golf course and then round the block - although managed to pause the tracking and lost half a mile I still clocked best part of two miles.
http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/105275277

Monday 5th November 2012
Much better stuff. Up at 5:30 a walk/run with the dog - apart from cocking it up and pausing it Endomondo worked much better:-  3.3 miles clocked and a bit left behind but good stuff - plenty of running with Pip - we'll keep her trim!
http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/105275277

Back from work. fireworks all over the shop - Pip no likey so went a mini run to deliver a card to Janette's nephew's missus and then back managed to stop the first bit of the run so there's .7 of a mile in the first workout and 1.92 miles in the second! both seem to have the same URL : http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/105511288

Tuesday 6th November 2012
As Pip wouldn't go out last night due to firework jip I thought I'd better get up a bit extra early so was up at 5:20 and taking her a 3.5 mile walk/run http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/105511288

Did some bread cobs for the troops when I got back and then into work early to set up drums and what have you (don't ask).  All good.  Took the pooch out a bit late - Janette was at a meeting regarding plans for a traveller caravan site at Ashbourne that everyone's against so in hurry to walk dog and get to bed I forgot the phone so no log of a 1.5 mile walk round.  N'er mind.

Wednesday 7th November 2012
Up at 5:40 struggled a bit to get up but slept really well.  Not in a mad rush as am at Dentist's first thing.  Took the pooch on a 3.5 mile walk round http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/105751405 picking up papers along the way.  I did a couple of jobs in garden then off to Dentist.  Teeth mangled and into work by 10:30 all okay.

Weigh in tonight - although had a few drinks at the weekend and generally haven't been very on plan I reckon there will be a weight loss.

Thursday 8th November 2012
Another three pounds gone last night but couldn't stay.  Such is life.  Got up at 4:30am - took Pooch out.  Got to Derby station for 6:30am train and down London for 9am.

Went to a customer focus day held by one of our suppliers, held at Lord's no less.  Matthew Syed, former England number 1 Table Tennis player – did an exhibition match and invited attendees to return one of his serves that all had so much spin on them they went at 45 degrees from the angle you expected.  Very impressive, then did a brilliant talk and gave away his book bounce. Much of his talk focussed on praising effort rather than talent – if you praise someone as being incredibly talented they’re likely to sit back on that talent and think they don’t need to train, if you praise someone’s effort and commitment they’ll keep working and jeep improving.  He also made the point that almost all champions are champions because of the hours they've put in – Tiger Woods wasn’t a child prodigy with just god-given talent  he’d put in more hours by the age of 12 than most social golfers ever do!   It was saying nurture, environment and commitment make champions.

Dr Pete Lindsay a performance psychologist who has worked with Team  GB  Boxers was next up and delivered a talk that set well with Matthew Syed’s talk which explored myths that get in the way of performance.   It was interesting to watch how the two wove in scientific research to support their points.
Anne Panter was the final speaker I saw she is one of the bronze medal winning Team GB Hockey team and I’ve even held it -  they’re pretty heavy truth be told!!  What was great about this section was that it told her story about a really bad car crash that saw her out of action for two years and how she recovered from it to make the teamn

All good stuff.  Will put some pictures on in due course.

Took Pooch out for 2.5 miles in the evening, made some bread, went to sleep knackered.

Friday 9th November 2012
Up dead early.  Took pooch out.  Got car sorted out ready for service.   Mega busy day at work.

Saturday 10th November 2012
Up early - took pooch out for a couple of miles walk.  Woman of the Year do in Birmingham - got there for 10am to give the girls a hand as we are going to trial credit card payments you see.  Absolute bedlam - we got it done though.

Monday 29 October 2012

Sunday 28th October 2012 to Saturday 3rd November 2012

Sunday 28th October 2012

Knackered - went to see Big Lix at the Empire last night, did one song and got through it, ha ha.   Got back at midnight - up again at 4:30 (new time I think although too tired to remember).  Washed out sort of a day.   Did a bit on the utility room till we had a bit of a fall-out.  Walked the dog about four times (the pipster's back)  Did some dough, drove Phil about a bit, went to Lidl - oh and bought another kayak - another Ocean Drifter.  Only dog walk logged: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/238211359

Monday 29th October 2012
There was one clock I forgot to put back yesterday - the alarm clock - so was up again at 4am new time!  So three walks, two coffees, one son delivered to work before 7am!   Never mind, into the office for 7:15am.  Monday morning dog walk #2 http://connect.garmin.com/activity/238211361  Dog walk #3 http://connect.garmin.com/activity/238211365

Took the pooch a three-miler, bed about 10pm which was way too late - am absolutely shattered at the moment. Pooch was proper tired out after: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/238833807

Tuesday 30th October 2012
Up at 5:00am, dough set up and in top-over to prove for half an hour (am going to try a much longer time for em to rise tomorrow I think.   Took pooch up to Sprinkshill Wood and back - only 1 and a bit miles but better than nowt.  http://connect.garmin.com/activity/238833814

Watch has fell to bits this morning - am hoping the new strap will arrive today or tomorrow.  Garmin straps are crap and no mistake - this is  fourth one I've had (at £20 a pop) since March 2010 when I had it. Rubbish

Took hound for more walks in the evening - all good.

Wednesday 31st October 2012
Up a bit later, probably 5:30 ish - took the hound out : http://connect.garmin.com/activity/238833818
Then took the Phil to work, then took the hound out again  for a mini-walk, then off to Sheffield for a group.

Went to Hollie's group after work. Another 2.5lbs lost which was the target I set last week sot hat was good.  A bit off track when got home as too much Hallow'een junk about - my choice though, no-one-elses/

Took dog out a couple of times but not far due to it p*$$ing it down consistently.  Tried to go to bed early but Dog barking so moved Humphrey the hamster into another room and that seemed to help. 4.45am wake up to the sound of barking - no idea what she was on about but she did nick a green tart thing off the table last night so perhaps not used to that level of E numbers in her diet!   Mini walk : http://connect.garmin.com/activity/239050588

Thursday 1st November 2012
Cripes, November already as mentioned above 4.45am start, marvellous.  Took dog out to stop her barking did two mile loop in 40 minutes - that's how much she can slow me down!   Watch not working for some reason but it was never going to be a personal best in any case!!!!

Friday 2nd November 2012
Bed at 9:20, Up at 5:50 getting some sleep back. 3.5 mile run no idea what pace as watch is refusing to get sat reception for some reason.   Will fully charge the beggar tonight and hopefully it will be fully rocking.  Fetching another Kayak later today - a bit of a trek but then again it was with the other drifter!   More good news - the pipster is coming to live with us full-time from tonight. What a weekend!

Saturday 3rd November 2012
Up early.  Took dog walk.  Went to Dawnie's caf with Phil to sample the delights - sausage and bacon cob and a cup of coffee.  Golf at 12:00 cold but good fun, front nine very average, back nine pretty good taking just 42 shots including three pars and birdie on the 16th - very steady indeed.  Hit a draw on 7th two for first time - need to work out how did that.  Back from golf helped Phil finish off fencing and gate to keep the pooch in now that she's ours!!

Got Endomondo loaded up onto my mobile phone as well which was nice.  Will try it out on Sunday.

Sunday 21 October 2012

Sunday 21st October 2012 to Saturday 27th October 2012

Sunday 21st October 2012
Up about 7:15,  went run a bit after 8 I think for 6miles round Mappleton and back.   Slowish - around 11min miles but at least a decent distance.
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/235980093

Then went to Alfreton to Aldi and Home Bargains - got mesen a new headlight for running with kept the missus happy!
Got back and then went up golf course to test driver Phil has helped me put together.  It's a ten degree Callaway 454 not exactly new tech but goes well when you catch it right.
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/235980098

All the write-ups on the net says it should have .350" tip shaft inserted into but we couldn't get the R7 shaft which I had to hand into it for love and money whereas an old .335" true temper from a really old Goldwin driver from way back when fitted a treat but meant buying another adaptor (which required a bit of trimming down to fit) from Gamola Golf - who have bits and bobs for almost any golf club rebuild.

Monday 22nd October 2012
Up at 5:30, 2 mile run put some cobs in the top oven to prove  (had made the dough last night and chucked it in fridge - still experimenting).  Watch battery was flat so no record but it's my now usual "two mile back in time to get Phil up" run.   Then baked the bread 5 x 5min turnaround at gas mark 5.5 - that should be easy enough to remember.

After work got home, had tea and went out on t'bike fairly late on.  9.38 miles at about 12mph which will do for now!
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/236303002

Tuesday 23rd October 2012
Got up at 5:20, got downstairs, got oven on, got dough out of the fridge and made up into roll sizes. Put dough into top oven to rise a bit and went for the "two mile back in time to get Phil up" run and got him up at 6:05.    http://connect.garmin.com/activity/236303007

Baked the bread. Fetched Papers and delivered Phil to work, got the missus and Lucy up, showered, dressed for Work and off by 7:20 into office for just gone 8am.  Had brekko at work.  All good so far.

Watched a bit of Man UTD on telly then went out for a bike ride.  Just short of nine miles done - not mega fast but not bothered!
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/236603449

Wednesday 24th October 2012
Up at 5:20 as usual.  Got Phil up.  Took him to work early - he's doing maize chopping today apparently, whatever that is.  So back at 6:05 - walked up town and ran back.
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/236603458

In to work early, quick peek at the scales - says 3lbs off.  That'll do.

Went to group and it was better still - 4.5lbs off according to Hollie's scales at the Belper Slimming World group.

Thursday 25th October 2012
Up early 3.5 mile run, sub 10 minute miles for a change - quite pleased with that.
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/236849386

Friday 26th October 2012
Up dead early - 2 mile run, http://connect.garmin.com/activity/237129804
Back for 6am, woke Phil up then set out on the bike for another 6.5 miles to pick the papers up on the way.
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/237129809  All good.

In to work nice and early.  Breast cancer "wear it pink" day at work oh yes!.

Saturday 27th October 2012
Up at crack of dawn to take Phil to work, back to bed a bit.  Got up and took dog a walk up town and back.  http://connect.garmin.com/activity/238211348
Did a Texas Scramble with Doug and John at lunchtime - all good hit a cracker down the 15th (242 yards). On clean hits I averaged 211 yards off the tee with the Callaway - am liking it more every time!    http://connect.garmin.com/activity/238211354

Went to see Big Lix at Empire for a charity thing got invited to do a number which I did try to resist but failed - ZZ Top tune done and dusted.  Drank Pepsi Max all night so still going strong for a month without alcohol!

Sunday 14th October 2012 to Saturday 20th October 2012

Sunday 14th October 2012
Up at 4am to take Phil.  Knackered.  Bed again, up again at 8:30 thinking it was 9:30.  Happy days.  Cleared all the tomato plants and got em all in the bin. Baked half a dozen cobs.  Took Phil to work. Went work mesen.

Tuesday 16th October 2012
woke up at 4am again, back to bed, got up 5:15, got the last of the dough out the fridge and into top oven to rise a bit.  Out for a run round the block  - even slower than yesterday! http://connect.garmin.com/activity/233973170

Put the rolls into bottom over and give em 20 minutes at gas mark 6 - seem okay.

Back home from work about 6pm, fetched Phil from his work, back in good time for a change.

Took missus to Costco to get a cake for Paddy.  Switched telly to watch footie but it's not on - rain stopped play.  Hilarious.

Bed early.

Wednesday 17th October 2012
Couldn't get out of bed, when got out of bed at 5:50 couldn't find running jacket anywhere so no run this morning.  Took Phil to work, got off to work early and in office for 8:15 all good so far.  Been on scales and am a stone heavier than back in June - so going back to group.

Joined a group in Belper, 12 week countdown bought - 1.5 stones off by Christmas is the plan.

Thursday 18th October 2012
Struggled to get out of bed again. Got up eventually and out on the roud by 5:40.  Two miles with a stop-off on the way due to blocked bleedin drains at home.
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/234595691

Back for 6:05 ish, got the boy up, fed him 2 croissants and a mug of tea then got him to work.  Off to Burton-on-Trent to see Mark Flaherty's Stretton group. Very good too, was talking to a member called Lynette who'd lost 16lbs in five weeks and couldn't believe how much she was eating.  All good.   All done, up the A38 back to tthe office.

Friday 19th October 2012
Same as yesterday only a bit slower!
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/234834309
Am doing a load of legalese on a trial at work and it's doing my head in!  Never mind.

Saturday 20th October 2012
Didn't get up til 8:30!!.  Just short of seven miles on the bike to fetch paper.
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/235980079

Did a round of golf with John, honours equal at the end which was nice.  Coffee in Clubhouse and then back home.  http://connect.garmin.com/activity/235980086
I decided to leave driver at home which made things interesting - the three wood went plenty far enough really but you're never happy unless you're letting the big dog eat as Tin Cup would say.

Sunday 30th September 2012 to Saturday 6th October 2012

Sunday 30th September 2012

Up at 4am - took the halfwit to work in his halfwit-mobile.  Unfortunately he kept the door key in his pocket so when got back had to wake the boss.  That went down well.    Anyroad had a lie-in got up at 8am!   Washed the cars, tested something called Rinsewax - not sure about it but looked okay.  Went to CostCo as bosskat wanted pictures developing.  Am hoping to get me eyes tested there next week, so I am.  Went over to me mum's.   Back home, waiting for a half wit to call.

Monday 1st October 2012
Am going to turn over a new leaf this month.  Will have a weigh-in later than am going to get meself together.  Got up at 5:20.  Started off with a slow 2 mile run - http://connect.garmin.com/activity/228814763    Then did five mile ride on the Boardman http://connect.garmin.com/activity/228814770, then took the halfwit to work.

Amazed to find Europe won the Ryder Cup coming back from 10-6 down to win 8 out of the 12 final day singles matched, amazed, David our Financial Director said you could have had 33-1 odds on Europe winning, 33-1.   Anyroad up here's a pic of PJ with the actual Ryder Cup from a year or two back!

Walked the Pipster early doors. Only a mile and half'ish but okay none-the-less. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/229816905
Took Phil to work early doors.  Helped Lucy with a load of trigonometry homework which she'd not mentioned until I was about to walk out the door.  Such is life.

After work got Phil to give me hand getting  a broken bit of shaft out of a Callway 454 Head which am going to put on the end of another shaft in due course.  Took Pip out again before bedtime - all good.

Friday 5th October 2012

Long story.  Got up at 7:00pm, proper lie-in.  Went to bed early last night as well.  Am six days into Stoptober - have not had a drink all October so far - got to stick with it for a bit longer.  Am okay, honest.

Sunday 23 September 2012

Sunday 23rd September 2012 to Saturday 29th September 2012

Sunday 23rd September 2012

Went to bed early last night.  Tossed and turned a lot.  Got up at 6:30 didn't do a lot.  Went to fetch bike back from Halfords at 10:30 all bottom bracket jip sorted out and no charge - can't argue with that!!

Lunch at the Whitworth Hotel, Darley Dale with mum and dad, very nice indeed then back home, get ready for the working week and off to bed early.

Monday 24th September 2012
Up at silly o'clock am, too the boss to Manchester Airport.  Back for just gone 7am. All good.  Don't know when I'll get any exercise in but such is life!!  Boss kindly let me leave early so got back in good time for Lucy.  Phil was dead late so instead of going out as intended it was chippy night and it was very, very average.

Tuesday 25th September 2012
Got off to bed at 10pm straight after New Tricks,  got up at 5:50 just before the alarm went off, all in all not a bad night's sleep.  No exercise at all again!  Got Phil's packup done, got him off to work, got Lucy's packup done, got her off to School.  Got into work late at 9:03 - need to be more organised tomorrow, that's for sure.

Wednesday 26th September 2012
Nowt to report still.  Got the kids off to school, no exercise, back to normal at the weekend all being well!

Thursday 27th September 2012
Up early, no exercise, Phil to work, Lucy to school, me in the office for five to nine.  All ticking over nicely, really.

Friday 28th September 2012
Same again, missus is back from Dublin later though so back to normal real soon!!

Fetched her from Manchester Airport 7:45pm, saw Mick McCarthy in car park at the airport getting into a range rover.   Things back to normal tomorrow.

Saturday 29th September 2012
Back to normal.  Round of golf with the chaps just scraped home - didn't score much and a bit rusty but quite a few pars including the last hole.  Took a 3 wood off the tee a fair bit and that worked a treat - hit 3 wood, 5 wood to par the last and it worked real cool.

Monday 17 September 2012

Sunday 16th September 2012 to Saturday 22nd September 2012

Sunday 16th September 2012
Not much to report.  Up at 4:30, took Phil to work.  Got a couple of hours kip, went up attic, got case down for missus.  Mowed lawns, watched end of Tour of Britain, weatched Women's British Open.  All good.

Monday 17th September 2012
Up at crack of dawn, took Phil to work.  Did a bit of golf practice. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/224145647

Played Breadsall Priory - very average managed to scrape in with 99.  Had quite a few pars and a birdie but also two or three 7s, an 8 and a 9!  http://connect.garmin.com/activity/224145660

Tuesday 18th September 2012
Up at 5:30.  Out for a 2 mile run http://connect.garmin.com/activity/224145664 Very slow - didn't feel that bad at the time although legs are tired from 8 miles of golf yesterday.   Then went to fetch papers on bike which would be about 5 miles but watch was coming up battery low.  Such is life!

Wednesday 19th September 2012
Up late, nearly 5:55 before fell out of bed.  Got Phil up at 6:10, went out on the bike, noticed a bit of lateral movement and it turns out a bit of the bottom bracket has fallen off so have contacted Boardman via Halfords this morning to see if can get it fixed.  The silver lining in this one though is that it means I'll have to get the Giant out.   http://connect.garmin.com/activity/224479496

It might be that it's just loose and it's supposed to be like that.

Took Phil to work, late getting back but just about on time into the office at 8:30.

Took some pics of the sunflowers before the frost gets em.

Thursday 20th September 2012
Up dead early, raining so did no running.  Ironically I went to the Leisure Industry Week show at Birmingham NEC which was very interesting loads of really fit folks showing stuff off.  Got some interesting ideas from it.

Friday 21st September 2012
Up a bit late really 5:50, got a couple of miles run.  Took Phil to work, big breakfast at McDs, in office for 8:20.   http://connect.garmin.com/activity/225113569
