Only a measly pound lost but at least it's lost, I suppose. Total loss therefore is a pound under four stone. BMI is 26.41 so still a long way of being fit according the the body mass index mullarky. Oh well, keep boring on.
New Bike for a new day!!
Have taken clips off pedals so they're now ok - still looking out for some clipless ones on the bay but these will do for time being. Then I took lights off 'slow but comfy bike' and moved em across to new one. Got out on road a bit after 6 and took it nice and steady to get a feel for her. Seat needs to come up about half an inch I reckon. Averaged a smidge under 15mph avg but that included a whopping hill climb (goes off scale - see below) and had to stop at two sets of lights. Why is it you always know they'll change to red even from half a mile away...

Wahey got up at 5am but not in a rush to exercise this morning, am taking the clips off pedals on the FCR1 and going to see if it's dry out. If it is then might nick lights off Slow but Comfy and then take it for a spin!!

Do you know you can get a double sided SPD pedal? SPD cleat retainer on one side, smooth on the other. I have a pair on the hybrid, great for short errands as you don't need your cycle specific shoes all the time. Another handy addition for your new bike, (I know some people laugh) but i use clip on guards on my winter trainer, they stop a lot of crap from getting on and around the gears and stop more water than you'd imagine from soaking your feet.
Thanks for the advice, I'll look into the dual-option SPD Pedal sounds like the very thing! I really can't get on with the clip on pedals. Am only taking the new one out on dryish days. Have got another bike with mudguards that slow but comfy with front suspension that I'll bring out when it's really wet.
Clip on guards is probably not the best description, they're the race blade type, they fit close to the tyre and hug the wheel. Shimano M324, M545 (i don't work for shimano-there are many others) i think edinburgh bike shop do there own brand for under £20.

I've always liked KK, i'm a man city fan and i was sad to see him go. The press ruined it for him and us, but they (press) don't normally have a great deal of good things to say about City, even now all you here is how we've spent a fortune and that's why we are where we are in the league. Tripe really, £30mill is nowt when compared to what that bunch of $%£*@> from Salford spend on just 1 player, not half a team. Although i can't stand Sam Allardyce and was glad to see him get the boot. We've had 6 points off N/C this season and 6 million for that moron Barton. I hope KK does do well. But more importantly i hope every team that play the rags wins. Get yourself a seat pack with a spare tube and a couple of tyre levers, the 25mm? tyres don't hold up as well as what i guess you've got on the other 2 rides you've got.
Sven will do well for you I reckon, still the F.A. showed what mugs they are by getting rid, made me laugh they just gave Chelsea a £40K fine for intimidating the ref. That's Sean Wright-Philips wages for a week I reckon, waste of time.
Re. the tyres a chap at work, Rhys has told me to get Gator-Skins, a bit heavy he says but you won't suffer no punctures. Have got a spare tube this afternoon and carry them and a load of tools in my little rucksack. That said I do fancy one of those little under-saddle bag things.
