Monday 2nd June 2025

Up at 5.16. Knackered!  Walked to lotty. Did a bit of watering and a bit of weeding.  After work went over to mum and dad's and with my wonderful son's help we put up a rail to make access to bean row safer.  It's far from ideal but it is what it is! 

Tuesday 3rd June 2025 

Up early.  Weather is very inclement but still went up to lotty plot.  Put some more more flowers for cut flowers in the ground,  repatriated three slugs (one was on me runner beans, grrrr).  Pub quiz after work - we came second - a London landmark had us foxed, it caught us out - Prince Albert's memorial apparently.  

Wednesday 4th June 2025

Up at 5.15 after a late finish at pub quiz.  Took 8 runner beans and some more cut flowers plants to go in.  Repatriated another slug which was on one of my runner beans (they seem to pick on the weakened one that they have hit previously - the slimy lowlives).  Went to WW have put on again.  Not happy but you reap as you sow or something like that. 

Thursday 5th June 2025

Up at 5.20.  walked to Lotty, 2 slugs repatriated.  Very wet weather.  Good we need it. Lucy driving to and from work so that's good.  

Friday 6th June 2025

Up at 5.15 (I am slacking and no mistake).  Damp but not constant rain. Walked to Lotty as usual.  Got seven or eight slugs repatriated including one big bleeder that has mangled one runner bean plant.  Hmpfff.  I have some planted in greenhouse as potential replacements.  Never mind.  Anyway, it's Friday than heavens.   Lucy driving again. 

Saturday 7th June 2025

Up early.  Lucy at training all weekend so ferrying her there.   Weather somewhat inclement so did some pottering.  Went to Lotty when weather permitted and did a bit.  Fetched Lucy,  got tea on way back.  Bed early-ish. 

Sunday 8th June 2025

Up very early.  Golf at 7.08,  a deer ran out in front of me on way,  stood on the brakes,  think it had a very lucky escape.  Golf was very average,  95 with lots of bad chips, poor putts and worryingly three shanked irons.  Hmmm.  Washed cars just before rain started.  Fetched Lucy back from work (missus sids took her!!).  Bed early.
